My Delta has been going strong since 1988, shooting mostly full bore hand loads.

I believe the Mk 1s were manufactured after the change in heat treat and one digit of the serial number is covered up, as is the last letter of "Springfield."

There was one for rent at the range I used to work at, the bolt cracked within 2 weeks. There was also something else wrong with it, I forget what, it was kind of overshadowed by the bolt cracking.

I think it would beat the frame up pretty good. Have you thought about the titanium frames from Caspian?

I think it depends on the design, some dual spring setups allow the second spring to work later in the stroke, softening the impact to the rear. My Delta Elite felt much softer than my 10mm Kimber with equivalent weight springs when I was still shooting 10mm in the Kimber.

They are simple, elegant, very easy to shoot, and very easy to carry concealed. And you don't have to get one in 45.

South Korean? Maybe a Daewoo? Don't be scared by their cars, the guns are very well made. Mine has had lots of use and still shoots great.

The thing I find most hard to believe about all this is the <1 MOA group at 1000 yards with one of these "long range specialty pistols."

Apparently they were a budget 70 made between 69 and 72. Replaced by the 70A.
