Does your LGS do this? I wonder why they would.

Just a few business related idea. There are many considerations that factor into how a company sets its prices. For one, companies factor their total overhead into their cost of goods sold and develop their markups and margins from there. They consider their cost of holding inventory, but this...

    UPS won't ship gun parts?

When I was building my FAL (922r compliant) a few years back I shipped the barrel from my parts kit to DSA to have them fit and tune it to their US made upper. I used UPS, at a USP Store no less, and didn't have a problem with them. In fact, I actually took the barrel into the store and packaged...

Would you carry a gun you've never shot?

Yes. I would carry it to a range and shoot it.....

Anyone own a Kahr P380 and a Ruger LCP?

I don't have any experience with the Kahr P380 but I do use a Kahr PM40 almost daily as a pocket gun. I also frequently carry a Kahr K40 as an IWB carry piece. I love these option but I also just picket up a Sig P238 that I also love.

Best self defense 45acp ammo for bedside

I am a very big fan of Corbon's Pow'R Ball in .45acp. I think that it offers the best balance between penetration and expansion. Cor-Bon "Pow'R Ball" High Performance Ammunition by Jeff Quinn

Do you collect firearms from a certain era?

I like to say that I am less of a collector, and more of an "accumulator."

Which gun makes you feel like you own perfection?

I don't own perfection, my guns are all owned by perfection. :P

Do You Patronize Your Local Gun Shops?

I have developed a great relationship with my local gun shop owner. On slow laid back days he will sit around a table with a few of us regulars, after closing time, and kick back a cold one with us and socialize a bit. He always tries to give those of us regulars the he considers legitimate...

    Help with professor!

I agree with others that you shouldn't frame the argument as one in which a decrease in crime following the passage of CCW laws is necessary for the right to concealed carry to be justified. The anti-gun argument against concealed carry is that concealed carry should not be allowed because...

    Price: Kahr K40 .40S&W

That sounds a little high to me, unless they went up. I got mine for a tad over $500 (out the door) about 2 years ago, but that was used in like new condition. You might take a look around your local stores for a cheaper used one first.

    New CC choices

It's too bad your limiting yourself to those two model Glocks. If you are looking for a multipurpose platform in a single firearm, the Sig P250 is an excellent choice. The SigP250 is completely modular. You can pop out the entire trigger mechanism and pop it into an entirely different sized...

    Deal Worth Bragging About?

So, what do you guys think, is this a deal worth bragging about? For a while now, I have batted around the idea of getting a Sig P238. Lately, they have been very hard to come by locally. When they can be found locally, they tend to sell quickly at full retail price. A friend also wanted...

Help me find the most awesome gun I can that shoots .22LR ammo and is fairly chea?

If you think you might want to get into AR15 style rifles later, you could consider a S&W M&P15-22, Colt M4 22, or even a Sig P552. AR15 style 22s offer a lot of customization options for future upgrades. You might also consider the GSG-5 series of 22s (both pistols and rifles) that resemble...

My first encounter with the gun community

IMHO, many of the people that say 'don't start with a .22' are the kinds of shooters that show up at a range with a giant silhouette, set it up 7 to 10 yards away, and their shooting is all over the place on it. The benefit to starting with a .22, other than being inexpensive to shoot, is that...
