Modern consecutive Schoefields from S&W

Wow-Love those rare S&W Schofields ! Wish I had gotten a pair when they came out back when. I once saw for sale some time ago serial numbers 1 & 2 that were fully S&W factory engraved. They were in the big five figure range at the time. Never saw them since.

How could three M1911A1 pistols have consecutive serial numbers? The three makers were assigned different serial number blocks.

Jim

It would be nice to own Colt SAA's serial numbers 1 and 2, but unless the guns are part of a set, consecutive serials mean little in terms of increased value. And of course, if separated, they are worth no more than any other gun of that type and condition.

Jim

I'll play,,,

Not all of them,,,
But several of my pairs are like this,,,
One revolver in centerfire and the other in rimfire.

Matching 5.5" Slab-side barrel, stainless 22/45 pistols,,,
Sadly no distributor could find me consecutive serial numbers.

Wynona and Ashley (and Mama Naomi)
140102-NEOS_CasedSet-LR.jpg
A pair of Beretta NEOS pistols and a 3rd as a NEOS Carbine.

I know it's shameless bragging to say this,,,
But I have four more pairs I don't have good pictures of as yet.

Collecting pairs of handguns and rifles is my passion,,,
If I'm very lucky at the upcoming Wanenmachers Gun Show,,,
I'll find a DSM 34 or a KKW trainer in .22 LR to match my K-98 in 8mm.

If I'm not able to find/afford that particular rifle,,,
Maybe I'll find a WZ-48 in .22 and a Mosin-Nagant to pair up.

Aarond

.

P.S. I almost forgot my rifle pair,,,
HR-Both.jpg
H&R Handi-Rifle in .357 Magnum and H&R Sportster in .22 LR.

You've got some very nice pairings there. I especially liked the Neos family trio.

Thank you sir,,,

Thanks for the comment. :)

I got lucky with the carbine kit for that set,,,
I had a "notify me when available" alert with Buds for many months.

When I got an e-mail saying they had some carbine kits in,,,
I whipped out my card and immediately ordered it.

By that afternoon they were sold out again,,,
I knew I should have ordered two instead of just the one.

I haven't seen a new carbine kit since then.

Now if I could just find that elusive 7.5" barrel,,,
I would have what I call a truly complete kit.

Since this has expanded to include long guns I've moved it from Handguns General, to the broader General Guns section.
