The did you a favor. Cabelas has the highest prices of any of the local gun dealers around here. Go to another shop, buy your rifle, and save a few bucks also.

I just quit buying from dealers unless I can't find what I want from a private collector or citizen.

Point being (Hispanic or not).... Why does it matter? If the race covers skin color, who cares about Hispanic or not?

It's the government, it doesn't have to make any sense.

Is Cabelas your only choice? Don't know about your location, but in my neck of the woods Cabelas is way too proud of their goods. Go elsewhere and you'll likely get a better price.

I watched two guys get denied Monday at the counter. Ignoring the guy who didn't know a DV conviction would be a problem, the other fellow has a father and two brothers with the same first name, the only difference being I and II. And, they are all felons, except for the buyer. The gun dealer called the FBI NICS and got the first check cancelled, then, after convincing the buyer to amend the 4473 with a SS#, resubmitted it. Still denied. In any event, it appears that amending a 4473 is OK.
