My all-around rifle.

Nice looking setup. If you don't mind me asking, what did it end up costing? Interested in a winter project.

Nice rifle, great cartridge, but the scope leaves me flat. I tried that same Nikon once upon a time, & found the reticle to be totally unsuitable for me. I sold it & bought something with the mil-dot reticle, which I'm thoroughly used to & by far prefer. It's not that I dislike Nikon either, I have several of their scopes but with the mil-dot reticle.

short of dangerous game, these three are what i carry most. rem 700-LH in 7mm08, rem 7600 carbine in 3006, ruger #1 in 3006.

My Steyr Pro Hunter in .280 is my go to rifle. Light, great action and trigger. Mine likes the 140 gr Nosler Accubond. Its like The Hammer of Thor on whitetails! Great caliber.

I can't argue with a single choice on this one. Great caliber, spec'd out properly, well done! I'd love to claim that rifle as my do-anything gun! Very cool!
