I know WND doesn't have the credibility here that some sources do but this has been on Drudge all day so I guess I'll view it as credible.
Seems parts of Europe that allow guns are doing a booming business and some are thinking more about gun rights.

I think the concern is credible and while I hope it doesn't materialize I do hope it awakens the people there to their rights to personal defense.

They seem to be coming around to the fact that criminals will get guns, and use them to hurt/ kill people, despite the level of gun control that exists. They also seem to be coming around to the fact that it takes "a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun." Despite the many flaws that exist in the quoted phrase, the premise is sound.
I think people are getting tired of carrying around their chains of servitude to their governments, that end up making them victims in one way or another.

Good for Europeans. Hopefully the trend continues.

This is great news. However, it will be telling at the very least. Will there be enough violent incidents (I think so) and public outcry to start restoring self defense and gun ownership laws in Europe? I tend to think that the legislators will not listen. They're just as terrified of an armed law abiding citizenry as they are of the violent "refugees".

If no ground is gained for gun rights and self defense, then we should hammer that here in the U.S. to all those begging the POTUS to sign away our rights. Once we lose them, they're probably not coming back. Such people are still stuck thinking that the government will protect them. All you have to do is look across the pond to see that that's not happening. Thus the surge of gun sales (where permitted). Our anti's in the U.S. are truly thinking about their children, but not their grandchildren and their children. The Europeans thought that guns were their enemy, until an actual unforeseen enemy came and took advantage of their complacency.

As for the news source, I'm not quick to discredit unknown news agencies. I sure don't trust the mainstream media to bring us this information.

Something a little more detailed - the paragraph on Austrian women purchasing record numbers of handguns and their motivation seems to be the real point. http://weaponsman.com/?p=26646

The majority of the "immigrants" illegally entering the European countries and their motivation is certainly going to set off a lot of internal political infighting.

The net result is that the locals will arm up regardless of what the local laws state. They always have and always will. There is already a continuing trend in police confiscations of some interesting new weapons being produced to commercial standards. It's apparent gun trafficking of machine shop grade firearms - including submachine guns of good quality - remains a brisk business and will be a money maker on the black market.

"Islamic invasion". On the front page I found the headline "Obama in secret pact with world's largest muslim country".

What webpage is that?

I'm a european who sometimes wish we had a 2nd amendment, and sure, I'm worried about the consequences of the very large influx of people (and the economic situation with our Welfare states trying to handle it all...), but "muslim invasion"?

No European country is affected more by the refugee crisis than Greece. It is, after all, the first point of arrival for the vast bulk of the Syrian refugees.

I just don't see a groundswell of desire for guns among Greeks because of this. They are generally sympathetic to the plight of the refugees. There's been a criminal-gang problem for years, and some people deal with that by keeping shotguns at home. Handguns are very difficult to get, legally, and rifled long guns are totally prohibited. Yet Greece is awash with tens of thousands of illegal Kalashnikovs.

Americans are conditioned to think in terms of legality when it comes to guns. Not so Europeans. In Europe, the law may say one thing (it's usually highly restrictive), but the reality on the ground is something else entirely.

What webpage is that?

I'm a european

It's a 'news' site that leans hard right and will mix some questionable things in with fact. IMHO, anything you read about there should be verified, as best you can anyway. No different than any other news source. Don't trust, but do verify. ;-)

There seems to be some skepticism about the invasion claim, This map gives an idea of the immigrant movement toward Europe and the countries from which they are from. I cant see how this won't change the very makeup of these countries and I think their residents are coming to understand it but probably to late.
