Summer Purchase ?

Like the above hangunner (posting # 50), my next HG purchase will be about the 1st part of the summer.
Currently it will probably be a Star Model Super B in 9mm. I love that 1911 styling.

So many wants, so little funding! Most likely will sell off some current guns to acquire my more recent cravings...

Springfield 9mm EMP
S&W model 63
Taurus Raging Bull 5" 454 Casull

I have a list of stuff I'd love to own, as most of us do. However, I think the most reasonable "next" handgun will probably be a SA .22LR/.22WMR combo revolver. I love shooting .22s, and I don't own any SA revolvers. I've been eyeballing a couple of options, and think I've probably settled on the EAA Bounty Hunter.

As to the "how" part ... my wife gets mad at me when I buy guns this close to Xmas. So, I'm actually thinking of selling or trading my 6" S&W 622 (which I rarely shoot) to get it. Big step for me, as I still own every gun I've ever bought.

I'm not sure actually.

I want a .45 acp but not sure which gun I want it in. Probably 1911, but not 100% on that.

Also want a cap and ball revolver really bad.

And I'm a sucker for just about any single action I see.

So lots of possibilities.

With the recent acquisition of a CZ75 SA that I'd been trying to find for several years, I've finally acquired all the handguns I really want, and multiples of some favorites. At this point, I'd rather spend the money on ammo and reloading supplies. Even the long guns are good as is. I have no safe queens, no guns I would not trust in a life-or-death situation, no guns that I am not proficient with. I have enough to arm my family and friends in the event of catastrophic social collapse and civil unrest. I have plenty to clean, maintain, and keep me entertained. Any more become burdensome.

It is my intention to enjoy shooting my collection for as long as I do, and then start passing them down to kids and grandkids. Any more gun purchases will probably be made with them in mind, as were several of the ones I currently own.

Probably another G19 to go with my other ones-------have to cash available, its just a matter if I want to spent it at this time or not----no big hurry

Hard to decide. I am due for a good 1911. Been looking at the Dan Wesson offerings.

I always need another cowboy gun in 38 spcl. Something like a top break or Cartridge conversion.

I have had a hankering for a CZ 75 or SP01 in SA for sometime now...

I will work my second job to afford all of these some day...

The smallest single stack 9mm that feels good in my hand that has a proven track record. I have a Kel Tec P11 but it's just a little too thick for comfort in my waist band.

Either a pistol chambered in Tokarev, or a .22LR semi that's a Glock knockoff, or maybe a .22 conversion kit for G19.

But there's always the possibility that I could run across a cool wheel gun.

basically, wherever I run across a good deal on something that suits my fancy.

A Performance Center John Ross 5" S&W 500 Magnum.
I'm going to buy a lottery ticket.......and then.............

Now that I finally got my Colt SAA .357 (NIB - made in 1978), I'll be wantin' a New Colt 1911 or a Ruger Super Blackhawk in stainless...

I'm looking for a 4" nickel plated M57, I have a nickel M29/6.5" and nickel 1911 in 38Super; but I'd like to carry the 41mag during the cooler months. ....like carrying heavier calibers this time of year in Arizona. ....give the M29 Mountain a bit of a rest. :)

I just bought a 9mm Shield while I was out looking for a 5" 1911 in 9mm.

Now I have to be frugal to pay off the Shield before I have to pay interest on the credit card. The 1911 may be by working overtime or finding out how much change I have in the coffee cans next to the safe.

A used Ruger Old Army would be my next gun but percussion caps are still non-existent so that one can wait a bit longer.

I'm not sure.

I have a short list, of course, with "logical" reasons each is on it, but I may not get a blessed thing in the near future. If SWMBO has anything to say about it, and she usually does, I won't be getting any new toys for a long time, due to budget and debt.

But. That doesn't keep me from looking, thinking, considering, and wanting.

I carry a S&W 642, and a 3913. My full-size pistol for a number of years has been a CZ75B SA. I like it. It fits well. It is accurate. It has a very decent trigger, and great ergos. I shoot it well, and I'm used to it. I placed third in a match this past weekend running it. I own it, I have a bunch of mags for it.

But. It is a single-action. The safety is a completely different arrangement from my 3913, and I have misgivings about actually carrying it. I used to carry it, but stopped when I realized that Every.Single.Time. I checked the safety while carrying it, it either had worked itself off, been bumped off, or wiped off as I drew it from the holster.

I like double actions, I'm used to them, too, and I trust them a bit more than single actions. Carrying them safety off (revolvers/3913/M9/M11) has never bothered me. So, I might swap the CZ out for a full-sized traditional double action like my 3913, such as another S&W 3rd gen (5903/5906/4506 if I decide to step up the caliber) or a Beretta 92/M9/PX series (if I can force myself to own a plastic gun). I liked the M9 I used in the service, and parts are available and cheap, and factory support is still there, unlike S&W 3rd gens, so Beretta may win that. But I really like the 4506.

I also really want a little .22 semiauto, like the Bersa Thunder or a PPK or even a Beretta 71.

Really want another S&W Model 10, too.

So, really not sure. If I buy locally, I'll pay cash I save up, or swap the CZ, or sell it and use the cash. If I buy online, I'll use my credit card and pay it off at the end of the month.

Been itching for a Charter Arms Bulldog for a while and became aware of the new "classic" that's blue, 3" and has the tapered barrel/exposed ejector rod...

I haven't decided what my next purchase will be yet (though I do have an ever increasing list of guns I want to buy) I just purchased a Springfield Armory XDm 5.25 in 9mm and love it. It's as accurate and enjoyable to shoot as I had hoped and I love the 19+1 capacity. I paid cash for it at my LGS

CZ 75 P-01. It's on the way to an LGS and I will be paying in greenbacks.

I have no 9mm semi that I could grab and go with without thinking thru it's reliability. Mine all run but not well enough that I would stake my safety on them. After this one, I would like a Ruger Alaskan in 44mag but that can wait a while. I am currently obsessed with shooting small things at large distance and my disposable income is geared toward that more than anything else right now.

I'd like a P83- just to keep my P64 from feeling boxed in by the EG and Bulgarian Makarovs... Maybe a current ( non C&R) Zastava M57/M70..And/or an M92....maybe a RIA 9mm/.22TCM Tactical combo for grins....something CZ besides my CZ52. I'll work it out.
I've eyed the P83 for some time, too. To sandwich between my P64s and my CZ82 :)

The Bulgarian Makarovs that are recently around are SO tempting, too.

I believe that an HK product, perhaps with"P2000" inscribed on the slide, but definitely with a LEM trigger variant, in 9mm caliber may be following me home from the local toy store very shortly.

Ruger just released a new Redhawk in 45 Colt that also shoots 45ACP in moon clips. I have a New Blackhawk 45ACP/45 Colt convertible but you can't shoot hot loads in it. The new Redhawk will take the "Ruger Only Loads". I want to experiment with hot 45 Colt loads, 250 to 300grn bullets. Plus I can shoot 45ACP in it also. All of my 1911s are 45ACP. The new Redhawk is just starting to show up with a few distributors. So it will be awhile before they show up locally.
