So I found a little grey spot, under the trigger guard, not sure if somebody welded the frame, or its just a really bad chipped spot?

Looks like a crack filled with fingerprint DNA.

Scrub it with solvent and a brush.

Then post a better picture.

I don't know if these are better pics, but yeah its a dull, metal grey

Still looks like a cracked frame to me.

Find a gunsmith and get a second opinion though.

Crack, gross tool mark, manufacturing imperfectioon ... Is it static or getting worse?

It seems like the size of it has stayed the same, when I bought it, I did shoot the pistol (this is before I spotted it) and it worked just fine.

Enjoy shooting the gun and monitor the indication. You can always get it checked and repaired as necessary maybe, but I'd guess any custom repair work will be a significant portion of the cost of the gun.

that area (on the trigger guard) is not under any stress from the firing of the gun......i highly doubt it is a stress induced crack. nor is it in an area critical to the safety of the firearm.

personally i would have any reservations about shooting it.

if you are really concerned, you can spend $60 and get a liquid dye penetrant testing kit and see if its a crack or not.....
