Easy on/off holster?

I normally use Alien Gear holsters, but I use Desantis Inside Heat holsters when I know I'm going to have to take it off and leave it behind.

The single clip is much easier to manipulate than a two-clip design in a closed space, such as a car.

Like a lot of others, I have way too many holsters, the above is the best (for me) I found for "easy on/ off" that is for IWB. Really good single clip and the features I want in a holster. I can`t say about their OWB cause I don`t own one. Some single clip holsters I have, are not as easy on and off. Good luck

I would consider a pocket holster for ease of disarming and rearming. If you want to stick with a belt holster, I'd pick something IWB with a single belt clip. My N82 Pro is that configuration and is probably the easiest belt holster I have to take on and off.

I IWB with Alien gear holsters. Of course they are not easy on and off.
I compromised.
When entering the car I un holster and stick it in the paddle holster mounted to the car seat.
Seems to be working.

I like the N82 holsters for my use, not only are they the most comfortable IWB holsters I have used they are really easy to take off when needed. They are also really secure and hard for someone else to try snatching off of you, the spring clip really hangs on your belt making it securely attached for when you draw your weapon. I have the N82 retention model that requires you twist the pistol in the holster to remove your weapon.

It is a pain to remove your holster and handgun when I run into those rare situations where I'm surprised and need to secure my handguns in my vehicle. In those cases I simply take them out of the holsters and put them into the vehicle vault.

I just leave the holsters on. As far as I know wearing an empty holster into a post office isn't violating the law. And, if you're able to conceal a firearm properly concealing an empty holster would be that much easier.

This is what I do. I have a paddle holster I use at times, but it has a hook type thing on the bottom of the paddle and its NOT easy to get off. Easy to get on, definitely not off. Dont care for how it can shift around some either.

My easiest on and off is a Remora holster holding my Kel Tec PF9. I can carry it in the waistband or pocket. It moves effortlessly from either to the console when needed. I would be hesitant to try this holster with a steel framed gun however.

I use the DeSantis SOF-TUCK. The single clip allows easy on/off when necessary. I drive a lot (120 miles a day round trip commute), so mine usually comes off when I get in the car and goes into the center console. I also have a vault for those times when I need to leave it behind.

I saw some the SOF-TUCK holsters at Cabela's today but wasn't sure about how well they would do with the light leather that they are made of. Maybe they will be worth a second look.

I made this for a guy a couple years ago. Wanted something for CC in a western style that would work driving but could take it off and leave it in the car.

We played around with some ideas and this is what I came up with. I've been meaning to make myself one for a little Ruger sheriffs model when I get time.

^^^ OK, now that is just cool. ^^^
Nice bit of design and craftsmanship Sir.
Thank ya. I used the basic design and look of the turn of the century '1900' Texas "Jockstrap" style holsters and put the modern pancake holster belt loops on the holster skirt and separated the holster body from the skirt. He is extremely pleased with it and I was very happy how it came out myself.

It's the only one of those I've done although I'd like to do more including one for myself. Like everything else just finding the time.

Someone told me Galco made a modern holster with the same concept but I haven't seen one but you might see what their offerings are. I don't really do holsters for modern concealed carry, I make mostly PC cowboy era gear.
