Semi auto uzi failure to fire

Is there a difference in the OAL of the cartridges that fire and those that don't ?

Not much of a idea to help you. I have a vector arms that fires anything I put in it.

What is the firing pin protrusion? Not enough and you will have issues.

I've encountered two non-IMI barrels that were incorrectly machined with the locating collar too far to the rear causing the breach end to be positioned too far away from the bolt when it's closed. Some ammo would fire, some would not. Just a matter of a few thousandths so it requires a very close look and measuring to find the error. It's a long shot, but worth a look.

I see you've already done some filing. Better to have gotten some good measurements from others be fore starting, but apparently you are making progress. Remember that this is a clone and may not be an exact reproduction of an IMI Uzi. The Group Industries guns were reported to differ in a few details. On my barrels I used a lathe to remove a few thousandths from the rear face of the collar, allowing the barrel to seat deeper into the receiver. The collar was then too thin for the barrel nut to tighten securely so I soldered a shim to the front face of the collar. These were not IMI or Group barrels and my receiver was an IMI Form 1 conversion using a Group Industries bolt, so no guarantee that the same combination of factors are present in your gun. The barrels were extras picked up for cheap (now obvious why they were) just because.
