Transfer of supressors

But in either case, trust or corporation, there is still a requirement to transfer the pistol and suppressor (and pay the tax on each) to the trust/corp. Saves a little bit of money and time, but it is still involved.

I was thinking about having him make me an officer of the corp. Then he could quit leaving me as sole director. Then transfer Corp top WV.
I don't know what is involved and at what cost.
I am thinking the best way is to take off the barrel of the 10/22 demill it and do the same with the pistol supressor.
I could then file a form 1 for each and make my own. Saving $600.00

Just make yourself a trustee of a trust. Add him as a trustee. Transfer the item to the trust then remove him as trustee. Done deal.

Trust vs Corp

If I were to make a trust and make him a trustee can he transfer the surpressors to our trust without a stamp?
Does a trust need to be registered with the state as does the Corp?
Any Idea about the cost to create a trust. The cost from the state of WV is $50 to register a Corp. but the lawyer fee is about $250.

It sounds to me like we're delving into the details of trust law, possession between trust entities, and how they both relate to the NFA. I'd strongly suggest the OP contact a trust lawyer who has specific knowledge of the NFA, because I think all of us are getting in way over our heads here.

I disagree. This is all state dependent but there is enough info out there that it is entirely possible and quite simple to draft your own legal and valid trust.
