been reloading alot of 223 lately, i notice when i use the Imperial wax for the outside lube, then i take a cotton swab with some wax on it and use it inside the neck for a lube when FS. after awhile i got thinking when i do my powder drops i see powder sticking to the necks, i am not 100% sure this is not hampering some of my groups, so i am looking for some suggestions to get around this, any dry lubes or powders out there to do a better way of lubing the inside of the necks so the powder does not stick to the neck.

If you run fired case necks over a bore brush spun by a drill before sizing them, the expander ball will come back up through them much easier and no lube's needed. Case necks so treated will typically end up as straight on case shoulders and bodies as those with lube inside the necks.

Case lube on powder changes its burning properties.

Clean the case lube off the cases before you reload them; much less messy and a cleaner way with all involved.

Powder isn't really power but pellets and probably wont stick to the little bit of lube left in the case neck. If your groups are poor it's not the clubs doing it.

I clean my cases before sizing until they are bright and shiny. Then I spray the casings with One Shot, making sure to get some inside the case mouth. Let it dry, then start sizing. Mine never are sticky going back over the expander ball.
