Hey folks I'm ready to buy a RSC safe. Im looking for a 700+ pound large safe in the 1400 dollar price range. Probably a cannon or winchester to get the size I'm looking for in my price range. I'm gonna bolt it to the floor or wall in a room corner where prying would be difficult in the area that needs to be pried. My issue is that my town has no gun safe dealers. There is a tractor supply that I could possibly use, or I can make the hour and a half trip to bass pro with a uhaul. I don't have a truck so renting a uhaul is how I plan to retrieve my new purchase. The bed of the uhaul should be close to level with my back porch making it easy to get through the back door. Looking for suggestions on which of the two businesses will give the better deal locally or if I should try ordering from somewhere else. Anyone ever ordered from home depot or lowes? There was a company that used to install them in your house for free if you bought from them at the gun show but they stopped coming. Any info on buying such a large item when all you own is a car would be appreciated, thanks.

Tractor Supply has a good selection and they will ship whatever you want to store.

The empty weight on my unit was 1500 Lbs. I went with a safe company and was happy to give them $200 to deliver and setup. Find some sections of 1.5" or 2.0" steel pipe to roll it along. Two guys used a special dolly to get mine truck to door and then the pipe sections.

Anyway I would start with Tractor Supply since you have one right there. Compare pricing and whatever. I don't see you having a problem. I need another one myself. :)

High end stuff? The shop will deliver.
Tractor Supply Sentry stuff....the store will lift into truck. A uhaul appliance dolly can move a tremendous amount.
With one more guy, slid it out and landed it on a car tire without rim.

Thanks ron. What model is 1500 pounds from tractor supply?
Sorry if I was confusing. Mine was 1500 Lbs when they delivered it. I would also look to places that deliver. Something you can try is look at what is in stock at your local Tractor Supply and note the model numbers of anything you like. Then shop for those models online. The end result is to get what you will be happy with at a price you like.

700 + pounds is pretty heavy for a wood floor. You may have to install supports below it or you will have floor sag in a few months unless yours is a slab home. Some safe dealers may have used units for sale.

I got mine from Tractor Supply. Not nearly as heavy, empty weight is 600 pounds. An appliance dolly from Harbor Freight rated for 1000 was 50 or 60.

Get a few friends to help you move it if the store doesn't offer a delivery option.

Get Amazon prime.

I got mine with free shipping to my curb (I was nice to the freight truck driver and he wheeled it to my workshop door.

Shipping costs a ton for safes, so the free option is great.

They have mostly middle of the road safes on Amazon, but mine works fine for me.

I bought a tall Fatboy from TS they called when truck got to town & delivered set it on my deck & four pieces of 1" conduit rolled it in & to location easy as pie900 lbs.

Costco will deliver to the end of your driveway. The driver was nice enough to use his pallet dolly to wheel it into the garage, but I was prepared to use the tractor if needed (it's a long drive.) The safe was just shy of $2K so the cost of the online Costco membership was a minor investment. I don't know if they are still selling the American made Rhino models or only the Chinese Bighorn now.

There shows to be a liberty safe dealer on jenks avenue
And another in ft walton beach
