Well now, looks very attractive. I even bookmarked it. I strongly recommend that anyone who is into shooting replica cap & ball revolvers do the same.

Understand that my experience shooting C & B revolvers started more then a decade before replicas were introduced. As a consequence all of the shooting was done with original 19th Century revolvers. I was a kid and belonged to a club that had a black powder division. One of it's older members was a gentleman who's grandfather and great-grandfather had worked as final assemblers at Colt during the later C & B/early metallic cartridge era. He volunteered to keep the old guns functioning, and when he was working I stuck to him like Velcro. Such an education I got... ;)

Wow! You sound like somebody I know (in fact, he lives in your state!! You wouldn't be him would ya?!)!! It's great to have "first hand " teaching!!!

When I followed the link McAfee had a conniption fit and said They had tested the sight and found it dangerous......just thought you should know.

I just tried the link for a second time and didn't get any alerts, even from Webroot that usually stops the bad stuff at their firewall as well as mine. At this point I think the Goon is safe. Maybe McAfee objects to guns. :uhoh:

Very nice, kudos to your son he did a fine job.
He's convinced me to send my Pietta 1860 your way shortly..

Dumb question I'm sure, but can you mod Walker Replicas so the loading lever doesn't come down while shooting. That's the only issue putting me off a Walker. I love my ASM Colt style .44 and my Remington .36 (found both in a storage unit so I don't know what their official names are).

The Walker droop is an easy fix with a fine cut file and the lever spring. One or two swipes should do it. But if Mike does it, rest assured it will be done correctly.

Looks great Mike! Love the stocked Dragoon (is that a leaf sight on the barrel?) and the pair of WALKERS with the cyls in the white! I've got an ASM 1860 from 1982--one of the "good" ones, it has functioned flawlessly for 30 years and pounds of rb's--that I'm saving my pennies to have it visit you for Goonerizing. Congrats on the updated site!

Brad

The pair of Walkers with the white cylinders are mine! Thanks again Mike, the pictures are great!

Hey Holl, they grabbed my attention--true to the spirit of the THR WALKER club! Did you do the vingar de-blue? Asking because my girlfriend, the lovely and talented Vicky, gave me a Christmas...WALKER. Considering the de-blue as step one.

Do it.

The originals had cylinders "in the white" and it just looks cool and different, yet authentic. :)

I did use vinegar, took about 10 minutes. A quick hot water rinse some oil and they were done!

Mike, The site looks great. I'll send a pic of my Walker when it comes back from getting new grips. I'll probably send my Rogers & Spencer next.
