Does anyone sell 38 button nose wadcutter bullets? There are many sources of double end and hollow base wadcutters but I really like the button nose design.

This is the problem with commercially cast bullets. The above bullet design (wadcutter), while designed for target shooting at velocities of 750 - 850 fps, uses an alloy MUCH too hard, combined with a hard lube that will not perform well at typical wadcutter velocities. The alloy used in this bullet is much harder than what Elmer Keith used in his development of the .44 Magnum. Will they work? If they perfectly match your throats, yes. If not, then you will get leading due to the inability of the bullet to obturate.

Just curious, is there a reason you prefer button nose vs double ended? I was going to suggest Falcon, but I checked their site, and see they've decided to close up shop.

Bayou makes a very good bullet. I have yet to try their button-nose, but it's on my stuff-to-buy-and-try list.

Bummer about Falcon. They sold a good bullet. I shot a lot of their 9s and 40s.
