I have one in 9mm G17- like it much better than the 1st gen models I had.. The front sight, threaded barrel and fore end took care of all of my previous issues.

Got the Glk19 version
I just wish they would fold to the side instead of over the top, would make much more sense when it comes to optics. I know when they first came out red dot were still kind of rare but I don't know if there was/is a technical reason why they couldn't be redesign to do since red dots are everywhere now.

That's right. I forgot, optics on top would force you to keep it in open position.

I think the only partial solution to that is to use a quick-detach mount so you could easily remove the mount and optic from the gun. That would still be somewhat of a PITA, but would allow you to fold the gun up.

I seem to recall a flip to the side mount for the Gen 1s that required some modding of the hand guard. Now that the Gen 2 has a proper pic rail something akin to a red dot mag flip mount should do the trick.

AJC in Clute, TX gets them occasionally. They usually have a 40 cal version. I saw a 9mm. Not sure I want to pay $550 right now.

I considered the Sub 2000, but I'm not a huge fan on the action and breakdown.

After buying a Just Right Carbine in 9mm I'm glad I did. It's a very simple design and takes glock mags, too.

Or use an offset mount attached to an M-lok rail attached to the side of the handguard. That's what I did. It works ok, you just need to cant the rifle a bit to use it, and the right retains its ability to fold. The only complaint I have with my Gen2 is the spring that holds the front sight post in place is quite weak.

I sold my JRC 9mm. It was a good shooter, but I got a Thureon Defense Carbine so I didn't need it. Now I am trying to figure out what I bought the Thureon instead of just buying a Keltec.

I like the light weight and compactness of the Keltec over the other types and the accuracy is good enough.

MSRP is $500. For other Keltec stuff that is hard to find, MSRP or a little higher is typical. The website says the KSG MSRP is $990. The availability on them is better now and I normally see $899.
