I have a few pounds of H-335 left, but with the on again/off again availability, just curious what other people like. Going to use jacketed bullets, but cast - tried that, WAY too hard to get them tiny pills in the case necks!
Curious what people like load wise.

I've still got 335 but I also picked up a 5# jug of 332.

H-4895, IMR-8208, Accurate 2460 is what I use. I like all three, all do really well in 50-68 grain bullets.

2460 is nice because Accurate has "Nato" spec data listed, you can easily duplicate military loads with this stuff. I can match the chrono'd velocity of XM-193 with this powder.

I like Accurate 2230 for 50-55 grain bullets in the 223 Remington. Varget with 69 grain and up.

I've had good luck with H332, W748, and H4895. One of these days, I plan to try CFE223 as I use it in 204 Ruger but I have not gotten around to it yet.

335 is my favorite, but have also had very good results with WW748, VV135 (or 133?, can't recall), H322, BL-C2, & Varget.

I know a couple guys that like Ramshot Tac as well, but I've not tried it.
That's a pretty easy case to find something good to use as powder.

I like IMR3031 for AR specific 55gr loads, IMR4198 for my all around most accurate 55gr loads, and IMR4895 for anything heavier than 55gr.

Though my AR seems to like the 3031 best; it will digest the others just fine, too.
And my mini seems to be partial to the 4198... But it'll eat nearly anything. It ain't picky!

I am an IMR fan

I'm using Benchmark with 55 and 62 gr bullets 16 in barrel 1 in 7 twist.

Exterminator or 2230(same),Re7 for up to 55g.
Re15 or varget for 69g.
8208, 335 also in the mix.

I use 748 with good results.

Question for the IMR 3031 users:
I somehow wound up with 8 pounds of 3031 right before one of the panics and never got around to trying it in the 5.56 for the AR. I use a Dillon XL650 and a lot of people warn that the 3031 would not meter well in the 650. So, for you guys that use it, how do you find it meters? Anyone using 3031 in a Dillon 650?

I do have to say I have some IMR 3031 that I was using for 8x57JS, (never thought of it for 5.56mm, thanks!), and it meters just fine in my Uniflow, if that helps. That is one of the few powders that my local reloading ripoff, (only one for miles...and they KNOW it), regularly stocks.

Ive been using reloader 15 and CFE223. At one time I was also using accurate 2460 and IMR 4895 with good results

H-335 meters SO well and it's the perfect burn rate for AR's so you can't go wrong with it. If your powder measure will throw extruded types well...AR Comp seems to work really well too. Burns nice and clean and is very consistent across wide temperature variations. My Lyman powder measure just doesn't throw it as easily and consistently as it does the ball types like 335.
