Just ordered one of these, now just have to wait for my stamp. My friend and SOT brought them to my attention in Feb after Shot Show, but I had to see where I sat with taxes first. Things came out well, so hopefull by mid summer I'll be able to take possession! Super excited! They're a little large as a handgun can, but the unparalleled flexibility is very attractive. I did buy a separate Thunderbeast rimfire can, but for the time being, the hybrid will cover all my centerfire pistol and rifle needs :D

I lost all interest when I found out you can't clean them.
I can understand that. But my guess is that SilencerCo was going for maximum versatility, so that's why they made it a sealed can. Since the the Hybrid is sealed, it's able to be strong enough to handle .338 Lapua Magnum and yet still be light enough to be used on a 9mm pistol.

Got to clean it......
Why? If you shoot it with pistol rounds and get carbon build-up, you can clean it out by shooting full-power rifle rounds through it. Centerfire rifle silencers don't need to be taken apart and cleaned. And when they're designed to be taken apart, they're weaker and heavier.

The only reason to need a rifle silencer that can be disassembled is if you're shooting high volumes of unjacketed lead bullets or .22 rimfire rounds through it. Otherwise it's pointless and makes the silencer worse.

Most of the people who are complaining about it not being user serviceable seem to be those who want to shoot cast lead loads (often from a 45/70). A can like this is bound to have trade offs. As noted the trade off here for the sealed design is it is strong enough to handle the magnum rifle calibers it is rated for and yet still relatively small and light. It seems to have some other pretty clear trade offs as well. A can like this, from as near as I tell from the comparisons out there will not be better for many tasks than a can designed strictly for that purpose. That shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. However, it does offer a lot of versatility which may outweigh the trade offs for many users.

Like those of us who don't have the budget for multiple cans. Eventually I'll do a pistol suppressor, probably an Osprey, but for now, between these two, I have everything covered. Aside from .45 Colt and .44 spl., I rarely shoot cast bullets anyway, so for a can that will be used on .380, 9mm, 10mm, .45, 5.56mm, .308, .350 rem mag and possibly even my .17 Rem and .220 swift varmint rifles, it seems a great option. The TBAC suppressor will cover my Rimfires and my Hornet.

I decided on a Hybrid as well, even though the only host I'll have for it is an AR in .300blk. I figured I could add hosts later if I felt the need. Accessories for this thing sure are pricey though - $92 for a front cap? ridiculous.

Liberty Cosmic is a user serviceable pistol can that's rated for 45/70.
