Ruger LC9

I have, among other guns, a Ruger LC9s. I carry it occasionally because it fits nicely in either the front pocket or in my Kusiak IWB holster. Probably 90% of the time I carry a Sig P250sc with extended mag, but when that's inconvenient, it's the LC9s and occasionally the LCP - but rarely.

I will tell you the LC9s is not a range gun. After several shots it stings. That being said - it's not designed to be a range gun. It's made for up close and personal defense. I can tell you, it will definitely get the job done should you need it. It has proven to be 100% reliable shooting virtually everything I can give it, including 1000's of 124g HP reloads. Feeds and extracts reliable every time.

You cannot go wrong by purchasing an LC9s. Not be a long shot!

Mugsie, nice. Gracias.

Great point about LC9s not being a 'range gun'
while pointing out that's not what it was designed for.

My SW 642 wasn't either.
Not fun w/ more than 100.
But it'd get the job done if push came to shove.

Same with the LC9s, I hypothesize.

And with the 642, I had 5 w/o a reload.
(I'm not Jerry Miculek!)

With an LC9s, I'll have 7 or 8, depending on how it's loaded.

Not seeking fun, but SD.

AStone; sorry to say your first thought was correct. A miss type for LC9s. We did get the LC9s semi-auto and even had a chance to shoot it a couple days ago. Even thought she has never had much interest for handgun she did well and the gun worked without any issues.

We shot about 150 rounds, mostly her doing the shooting and the grouping was good enough to say this is nice shooting pistol. The group was a bit left and a couple inches high but more than good enough for a carry gun.

We will probably take it to the range again before it becomes a carry gun but for the size and price the LC9s is worth a look.

I really like my LC9s Pro. It never quits. It is accurate and has a fine trigger. BUT ----- I got it just before the S&W Performance came out. That gun has a better trigger and luminescent sights.

I bought Tru-Glo sites for the LC9s and although not quite as good in the daylight (but not bad) they do glow at night.

Now all I need is the S& W trigger.
