Desert Eagle Refinished

I got this done awhile ago and never got around to sharing it. My Desert Eagle had quite a bit of corrosion damage to it and I decided to have a nice Duracoat paint job done to it. The gold was already there (and very expensive to redo, so I didn't). It wasn't what I asked for (Urban Camo) but I think it actually turned out better as Digital Urban.

Yup... accents.

A pal of mine was selling off an estate's collection of DEs a while back and because he would have more in his case than the entire rest of the show had, people misinterpreted him as a "Desert Eagle guy". Several would ask if he sold those, er... accents in general or would sell them off of his pistols.

Gotta be a market for them still I should think.

For my part, to be completely honest, there really is a secret place down inside of me that kinda digs them but I will deny that to my last breath in person and call this post a fraud if held accountable to it. :evil:

Eventually the gold will wear off on its own, at which point I will have the accents painted in something that matches the current paint job.

Like the Digital Camo paint job. Could do without the gold "accents" but not a deal breaker. Thanks for sharing.
