Ok guys it's not looking good on the west coast right now and it would be to easy to stick our heads in the sand and say well that doesn't affect me but it does it leads the way for other anti Gunners to say hey look California did it :banghead::banghead::banghead::fire::fire::fire:

So what can we do to help them fight this latest battle?

I'm not sure anyone but the folks that live there can change the situation except by voting the liberal clowns out.

Probably the best spot to place money is into Calguns. They are the heavy hitters for gun rights in California, but sad to say it seems like in recent years the legislators have thrown a deaf ear to them. We have hoards of Californians flooding into Idaho because of the tyranny that is being witnessed to down there. And Idaho has only grown redder as a state due to the type of people moving from there, at least that is what the polling has shown. It's all the conservatives that are fleeing in droves who see the writing on the wall.

Every one with a jack hammer report to the fault line? Maybe support that whole cali becoming two states thing? I don't see socal being financially stable with out its northern bread basket areas (not that it's all that stable now) and socal going under is the only way I see changing enough minds there to get any one other than the current status quo into office .

Maybe we could time-compress a few million years of Pacific tectonic plate movement and move most of the western coast of California up into Canada and let them deal with all this.

I appreciate and share the sentiment.

See my sig.

Ya know... with as many people claiming their state is being affected by all the Californians moving there... CA should be deserted by now.

It's all about the almighty dollar. Gun rights groups need funding. It' so difficult to speak to just 2A issues on THR without bringing politics or tangential political issues into the mix, so I'll just leave my opinion at money. Cold hard cash needed to grease the right palms. No different than how people lobby for other political causes. Geesh reading that, it so cynical...

I have nothing nice to say about that state, they laid down for liberals , their
way is poison, they made their bed now they must sleep in it until they are ready to say enough is enough.
And yes the earthquake that splits them into an island might be a good thing,
Many California transplants move north and the ones I have talked with seem
to want to bring their messed up anti gun , free loving liberal politics with them
I wish they would just stay in Cali fungus and not move here and vote here hurts everyone. :cuss::cuss::cuss:

Contribute to Calguns.net.

I'd suggest registering to them to be part of the battle. Sadly, CA isn't that far from NY, IL or MA. Understand what CA gunners are going through. Thanks for this post. I'd say every 2nd A, gun enthusiast and law abiding CCW/CHL support your fellow American.

I lived in California for twelve years of my adult life. Frankly, I gave up and moved to Washington state. With the same stuff now happening here that was going on in California some twenty years ago, I'm strongly considering moving again ... with Arizona and Tennessee as my first two options.

I voted and was politically active while I lived in CA, particularly on the local level.

I loved the state of California and the people. Regrettably, its politics and overpopulation forced me to leave a place in which I truly enjoyed living.

I simply don't have an answer to the question. I still return down there, as family has remained, and it's still a pleasant state to visit.

Contribute, don't contribute, fight, don't fight. Makes no difference. There is no way on God's Green Earth that California will change, or even slow, it's course toward completely eradicating the "Gun Culture." The only change will be an ever accelerating increase in draconian firearms laws being proposed, passed and signed into law. I think a friend who has lived there for many years described the situation very succinctly. When you vote, you get to choose between two Liberals......ymmv

I escaped California 13 years ago. Not only because of the anti-gun laws, but the whole liberal government mindset. The final straw for me was when it got to the point that I couldn’t order a hamburger with extra onions without some to translate “extra onions” in to spanish. I think California is to the point that the only thing that can [maybe] save it is a major earthquake in Sacramento while the legislature is in session.

please don't give up on California. The first rock that tumbles, and a massive one, will create waves, a tsunami, that will spread.

Guys we must stand and fight we have to let the Rest of the nation know that we will fight nothing will be easy we must fight for our rights or lose them Forever!!!! They have to know that for every move they make we will counter we will not give so much as an inch!

Moving there is likely the only thing that will auctually be effective, and I'm personally not willing to do that.
Changing the way they vote is the only thing that will really work.

It's tough to help those that won't help themselves. They continue to vote for the long time players that are slowly eating away at their constitutional rights. I wish them luck.

I wonder whether it would be possible to make a referendum to change concealed carry licenses from "may issue" to "shall issue".

Have you ever looked at California gun laws? You can legitimately say that we will not give an inch, we will give miles instead!

Saying "how do we help California" is like saying, "How do we help people who slept and partied through school, were 'socially promoted,' graduated without being able to read and write, got hooked on drugs and had children out of wedlock?"

When we look at it, it was out efforts to "help" them that created the mess we now have. Maybe we should stand back and let them learn to help themselves.

Rather than dumping on Californians as if they are all anti guns, lets get back to the OP.

As my sig says, giving up on unfriendly gun states is the anti's dream come true.

Its sad that so many here are quick to give up on other states such as NY, NJ, MA, MI, IL, HI, MD, etc etc

It only speaks to their lack of commitment to the 2A for their fellow Americans and future generations. How many more states have to fall or get worse before its your state?

It is also sad that so many here choose to mock those states as a whole

It only speaks to their character.

There are several members here from the EU that seem to understand, better than some of the American members, what the heart of 2A is and what 'United We Stand, Divided We Fall' means .

I have lived in CA and AZ; AZ being one of the most pro 2A states there is.

But I never stopped contributing to CA pro gun causes and refuse to stoop to mocking other states.

If you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

I have not given up on California, Californians have given up on California.

Rather than waste effort on people who will not help themselves, I'll give my help to people who are still fighting.

Looks like the current theme is to flee the State and infect others.

So I should send money to a cause when I have no say in political outcome? No thank you. Sounds like putting good money after bad.

You're free to think that.

I didn't feel that way when I lived in AZ and still supported CA pro gun causes.

Unfortunately so, and in my experience Californians are like Chronic Wasting Disease -- one you reach critical mass, everything is changed.
