Personal firearms that have never had a malfunction

My XD45 Compact that I bought new in '07 and have carried every day since has never had a malfunction of any kind. I stopped keeping track of it's round count at 11,000, but it's probably around 12.5k as I mostly train with my 22/45 now. The XD has seen just about every brand and type of ammo available in .45ACP. I put everything from steel cased, to aluminum cased, to reloads, super low-powered low recoil loads, wad cutters, anything I could find through it trying to make it malfunction. With the low recoil loads and severe limp wristing (holding the gun with only my thumb and middle finger) the action would cycle and chamber a round like it was in slow motion, but it never failed to load a round and fire it.

My Winchester 1200 12 gauge has never malfunctioned either, but I don't recall ever seeing a pump shotgun fail to load or fire. It's fired tens of thousands of rounds as I used it for trap shooting for a decade.

here's a question for you guys.
i have this 1980 s&w model 15, my first double action.
it is fine machinery. assume i keep it clean.' is there any way it could malfunction without a part breaking?
i don't see any way it could fail to fire unless a part gives way.
true?

The only gun I presently own with a lot of rounds through it is my Dan Wesson 715 that I bought on GB back in 2006. I have no idea how many rounds were put through it before I got it, but I would say it has about 5,000 since I got it. The only problem it ever had was I got a box of .38 Spl rounds that had just enough powder in them to get the bullet through the barrel. I stopped shooting them and a friend pulled the bullets and there was only a tiny little speck of powder in them. I don't remember what brand they were, but they sent me 2 boxes of good ammo as replacement. Contrary to what some people have claimed on this and other forums, the barrel has never loosened up or had to be touched in any way. I haven't done anything but cleaned it since I took it apart to check it out before I shot it the first time. NONE of the Dw 15s, 715s, or my 44 has ever had a barrel that loosened up, unless I never tightened it up in the first place.

My first 15 had numerous light strikes when I first got it, as the original owner had clipped the mainspring. A spring change and the gun went at least 10,000 rounds before I sold it to a friend, who had it over 10 years before selling it to a pawn shop. I just missed winning it on GB about 9 years ago.

My EDC 6906 has had one malfunction in 22 years. When I first got it, I let my then 6 y/o son shoot it. He had insufficient "grip strength" at the time and stovepiped an empty. Swept it out and now with close to 10K rds through it, the reliability is 99.99%. Almost perfection. Joe

Not true.

If you get ammunition that is not crimped adequately, the bullet can back out of the case and bind the cylinder. I had that happen with two revolvers in two different calibers with commercially loaded ammunition.

I've also had the strain screw back out on the main spring causing intermittent soft primer strikes resulting in no primer ignition.

MY
XD, H&K, Glock 34, marlin 30-30, my 22LR pistol and rifles. My 1911's. The malfunctions that did occur were operator or ammo (reloads) or store bought. Except for a replacement sight coming off due to poor fitting by the "gunsmith"

People are not understanding the OP. He isn't asking for "it only malfunctioned because ____". If it failed, it failed. If the ammo failed, it failed. If the mag failed, it failed. If you don't want to think that your gun had a failure so you find a reason to say "oh it was just ___ that doesn't count"...it failed.

Just for fun I thought I would start this thread. Everyone list all their personal firearms that have never shown any malfunction (FTF, FTE, misfire and so on). I do understand that many failures are caused by faulty ammo and faulty mags but for the purpose if this thread let's keep it to firearms that have went bag each and every time you have pulled the trigger without fail. Also list the approximate round count. You can include whatever you may like....revolvers, bolt action ect.

I'll start

-Ar 15 pieced together with parts from PSA and S&W-~1000rds

"Also list the approximate round count."

I just talked to somebody who said his gun hadn't malfunctioned in 7 years. Follow up question...800 total rounds. Round count! The information is completely useless without at least an approximate of the rounds through it.

My Sig P228 and Kahr cw9 have 1000 rds plus and so far flawless. All my revolvers and my SxS 12 ga lol.
