Homemade cannon went boom and kills its maker. If you're going to make a cannon, use enough steel and keep your charges safe. Remember, it's for noise and smoke and not for repelling cavalry, infantry or counter-battery fire. Sorry, no picture of the homemade cannon at the link.

"Homemade cannon" covers a lot of ground, from a little 1/3 scale Ordnance Rifle with internal sleeve from a surplus 20mm barrel, to cast iron lawn decoration to another name for pipe bomb.
