New-ish CZ-75B for a 1975 Browning Hi-Power C Series

I have the CZ-75b with two 15rnd mags and I've been offered a Browning Hi-Power C Series in good shape for it with two 13 rnd mags. I bought the CZ several years ago, but it's been a safe queen and I've always wanted a Hi-Power, but haven't had the cash for one.

Now that the offer is on the table, not sure if it's a good trade or not. I'd like your thoughts on it.

Thanks

If you don't mind parting with the CZ and they are compatible in condition, I would! ;) If you're happy with the deal and the OP is go for it! :)
That year vintage Browning has been evading me for years, had one on layaway way back then and I had to let it go,had just bought a new car?
I believe back then it would have cost me about $450. new.

You can probably get a new 75B without much trouble, not sure if a decent Hi Power is equally accessible.

If you're having doubts at this stage though I guarantee you'll regret it later.

I'm a big Hi-Power fan so naturally I'm going to tell you to make that trade, especially if it's a C series model! Since the CZ75B is a safe queen you're really not using it anyways so now here's a chance at getting that Hi-Power that you've always wanted. I say go for it!

I'm definitely leaning towards doing this trade. I'm in Mass, which is a nightmare of anti gun liberalism. Good Hi Powers are hard to come by. CZ-75Bs are even more difficult to find as well. The state has 10rnd mag limits unless they are pre-ban, which jacks up the price.

Ah, now the offer makes more sense. A pre-ban CZ75B in Mass would carry more value. I'd still say "do the trade" since they aren't making any more of those Hi Powers. The only thing that would make me pause is the condition of the Hi Power... Make sure it is in good enough condition to justify the trade.

Personally, I'd do the trade in a New York minute.

I've had three CZ75s, including one of the originals with no import mark (brought back by GI who bought it in the PX in W. Germany)

I've never been able to shoot them as well as any of my other quality pistols, especially my HP. There's just something about that gun and my hand that don't match.

I'd do the trade. As it's probably not going to be a carry gun and will be used on the range....go for the classic...everyone should have at least one Browning HP in the safe.

I would make that trade, but then again I am not a fan of the cz's extremely long length of pull, as it were.
The high power will appreciate in value more as well.

Edit: ahh, your location changes things a bit, but I still would make that trade...unless you think it will be a pita to come up with 10rd hi power mags, which it shouldn't be.

I would do it, but I am deeply in want of a HP C series. So I am highly biased. Good luck on it and let us know what you did!

I've always wanted a Hi-Power, but haven't had the cash for one.

That should answer your question right there. Once again, ppl put too much emphasis on the dollar:dollar aspect and less on the :) factor.

I'd make that trade too. CZ's and clones (EAA witness, etc) are common and can be replaced easy if you want.

If it was a non import mark bring back CZ I'd keep it. Otherwise I'd take the High Power all things being equal.
