i dont know the price range now, but in the '80s i bought an HBAR mossberg .22lr with lyman sights for a couple 100 bucks, and till this day it, on a bench rest at 100yds, it can punch endless lead, JHP, or FMJ bullets through 1/4" holes virtually regardless of ammo brand. not sure the quality or price of these now (im not home so i cant check the model number, which I forget), but you could include mossy's in your search.

Jacketed .22 ? New to me.

JHP. Yes.

There are no jacketed .22LR bullets.

After about a 3yr dry spell, I've been able to order several thousand rounds of .22LR ammo in the last couple months and have probably bought five or six guns in the last year as well.

I'm very proud of you.
