RIP RC Model sad news

I'm sorry to hear the news. Now that anonymity doesn't matter so much: some years back, I used to do a random-drawing giveaway of NRA memberships once a month. A couple of members here got in touch via PM to ask for my address so that they could chip in anonymously. RC was one of them. Knowledgeable, smart, funny, and generous-- I will surely miss having him around. Goodbye, sir.

I sit here stunned and saddened by this news. We are all a part of his legacy as we all learned something from him. Thankfully RCs words will live on and his knowledge will keep being passed on to those looking for answers. One thing that stands out is that RC had a way with words in which he answered questions with authority but not in such a way as to seem pushy or disrespectful, no matter the question or the response. Even with folks pushing back he was able to deliver safe sound advice and info to those looking.

Farewell to a kind and generous man. A gentleman of the first order. Hope to see you on the objective with a warm fire and a pot of coffee awaiting!

A loss to THR.

His knowledge will live on here as long as it is stored at THR. People will be reading his past posts for a long time when they search a topic.

He helped me out a time or 2 with questions. Sad news.

Very sad to hear the new of his passing. I feel like I have lost a great friend and mentor though we never met or corresponded. Truly a fountain of knowledge and a generous, thoughtful, and passionate gentleman for wanting to share all of it with us.

Rest In Peace, rc.

Obviously, I have not been here very long, but I could tell that RC was a knowledgeable, helpful individual. Truly, High Road all the way. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing, and the emptiness it leaves in this family
I am offering prayers of support for his family.

I always enjoyed and agreed with RC's take on matters.

My condolences to his family.

This is terrible news. He was one of the good ones, a rare gem that won't soon be soon forgotten. Rest in peace, my friend. :(

So sad. As soon as I joined here I realized this guy was one special person. He has touched so many lives. Prayers to his family.

God Speed RC !!

Lost a good one for sure. Full of knowledge and quick to reply. Often leaving little to be said because he spoke so well and covered most things with the fewest amount of words.

You will be missed buddy!

What can I say that hasn't been said?A collection of his advice here would be a great tribute Bull.

So sorry to hear this news. I too, benefitted from RCs great knowledge and willingness to share. As a self-taught reloader, I always relied on his advice because I knew it was correct with no fluff.
I shared a few PMs back and forth with him when I realized he was from Lawrence, Kansas. I spent 5 weeks there as a teen and we reminisced about some of the small-town charm of his home. He has touched many.

(Bull Nutria, you should share this thread with RCs family-- I'm sure they would enjoy reading about him and how we saw him.)

May he rest in peace. I was not satisfied until I read his responses and postings. He shared a lot and I am grateful for all I learned from him. My condolences to his family.

This is just terrible news indeed. Just as many that have replied to this sad news I too enjoyed his posts and fountain of knowledge. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. R.I.P RC model you will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
