RIP RC.

Thanks for posting the link hso. I would have missed it otherwise.

Gary,

Would it be possible to lock this up at the top of the page for awhile until others get a chance to see it?

Thanks,

Chuck

I said this in the big thread but I will post it again in the Reloading section here.

I wonder if he's looked up Skeeter Skelton and Elmer Keith yet, and showed them a thing or two about handloading. :)

RC Model

RIP mate from the other side of the pond,I have only been loading about 7 years here in the UK, When I have any doubts with my reloading RC was the guy I would search for answers. He was a mine full of experience and a true gentleman to go with it.
God bless him and his family.

There is a number of guys on THR, that if they post some thing I will read it. Although it may not pertain to anything I'm doing at the time, I know I'll learn something. RC was one of those guys. Thank You for your service. RIP

Just saw this. Sad to read it. I learned to reload from a Lyman manual and this forum and his posts were part of that. I'll miss him, and wish his family well.

I'm going to miss him. We both started reloading at about the same time, and had some of the same experiences. I could really relate to some of his advice over the years, and he had a way of getting right to the point.

Rest in Peace, RC.

Fred

The hell of it is,Fred...he and I were discussing, by PM, reloading .30-30 cases for older .30 WCF. a few days before this bad news.

His intellect will be sorrily missed.

Mike

I still look for RC's posts when reading new threads. It's amazing how one can miss someone they've never met.

RC always post informative information. Answered every question with understanding a didn't put newbies down for the lack of knowledge.

The forum has lost a top member!

Rest in Peace.....while that's a very proper, positive, and just plain nice to say, I'm going to deviate a little.

RC took the best care he could of the love of his life, and even more, if that were possible, after she became an Alzheimer's patient. He knew she would deteriorate and die from it.

I'm of the opinion (its what I believe) that God did them both a favor (maybe even answering his prayers) allowing him to pass on first. Rest in peace? That's not the RC I knew. I'm betting he's busy as he can be "preparing a place" for her when it's her turn to pass on.

I believe families can be forever.....if they want to be. I would give anything to see her face, when she passes, and she finds that the person on the other side waiting to greet her is RC!:)

What a grand finale to this world! And a grand beginning to the eternities to come! "Well done, [RC], thou good and faithful servant."

My lord. I don't have words, but I exchanged words with the gent several times, and he was always helpful. I can't recall how many times I read his words. The reloading world is less with him gone, lets hope we all remembered what his words of wisdom were.
