Urban Carry holster

You've peaked my interest in it as well. I just emailed the company to see if you can draw one handed at all or if it always requires two hands.

-Safety is no accident, unless you accidentally leave the safety on when you intend to shoot.

I have seen videos doing a one handed draw. I just do not want a drawer full of hostlers I do not use. I have two that I like but a deep concealment would be nice.

Liked their demo video; very informative and effective in showing how easy it is to use.

I like this one.

Good marketing dept having a model in the small size vs XXL.

Let's see you draw sitting down. And unless you are wearing very baggy slacks (I wear Levis) it will print. I can see it now...You have to draw in a place of business and you stand up. BANG!! first one shot.

Meh, not for me. I can more comfortably conceal a P320, P229 or 1911 OWB in a belt holster. Deep concealment might be necessary if I were to carry somewhere illegally, but "obscured from view" is sufficient.

My wife has maybe three of that same general type of holster. They're bulkier than you'd expect; while they might be generally cellphone sized in outline, guns are way thicker than phones.

Nobody seemed to notice or care, but my wife didn't like the corners digging in, or getting the holster hung up in bolsters, seat belts, or chair arms. She finally went to a Remora style holster tucked in her waistband.

One of her box holsters uses elastic sides; it's hard to get the gun out. You have to jam your fingers in to get a grip. The other two use magnetic flaps; the gun fits loosely in the holster, but it can still take some digging to get hold of it.

I'm not saying it might not be the solution you're looking for, just trying to point out some things that weren't obvious to us when we bought similar holsters.

Any decent pancake style holster can be converted to a deep cover holster. You need two strips of thick Kydex, about 1/2" wide and 6" long. Round the ends and drill a hole in one end. Heat the other end, and bend it to form a J, then heat the tip of the J and bend it inward to form a smaller J. Check to make sure your belt will fit the J before letting it cool.

Now attach both strips to the toe of the holster with Chicago (post) screws. One strip, attached at the toe, should lie parallel to the top of the slide, the other to the bottom.

Slide the holster between your pants and underwear. The J part of the Kydex strips goes outside your pants, over your belt, and the small J tip locks the strips in place.

Dress normally, with your shirt tucked in -- then pull out the tail of the shirt immediately under the holster. Drape it over gun and holster, then tuck it in BETWEEN pants and gun. Tighten and buckle your belt, then "blouse" your shirt -- pull out a couple of inches of shirt all around and let the slack hand naturally.

Shazam! Your handgun has disappeared!
