Tumble after loading

Yes, I do.

Just finished tumbling 400 rounds of HXP M2 surplus to remove 60 years of grunge and grime.

30 min per batch, never had a problem.

Perennial topic that usually starts a huge argument too. snicker. There was a good one about how tumbling live ammo causes the powder granules to break up thus changing the burn rate. It doesn't. Doesn't hurt anything else either.
I don't. I just wipe 'em off. Never been in any kind of a hurry myself.

Hi, Ed!

Yes, I use my vibratory case cleaners (corn cob media w/ a bit of polish added and strips of used dryer sheets to keep the media clean) to clean loaded ammunition, whether it be case lube residue on new hand-/re-loads or grime on old milsurp ammo.

Works great.

Clean CC and a dab of nufinish goes a long way.

I do not like handling greasy cases when I am loading them so I tumble them after resizing to polish them and remove the oil.

I then store the cases away for a future loading session.

But, lots of folks do tumble their ammunition after loading.

No offence to the OP, but this is an old, tired subject and you'll get as many "Yes, I do" answers as "No, I don't" and each side will have 2,964 examples and reasons (even some factual "Bubb's uncle's sister-in-law's son knew someone that worked with a guy that said yes".). Some do, trouble free, and some are afraid to have a KABOOM...

I'm not gonna tell anybody what I do or why...

I always tumble cartridges to get the greasy lube off them.

Sometimes I "tumble" cartridges in the washing machine when I forget one or two in my pocket.

Neither one has had any bad effect on the cartridge. Not even the washer.

Yes I do and it also reminds me I have to start work on all the emptiers from shooting prairie dogs last weekend. Later.....

I wet tumble after resizing.

Just got these out of the lizard litter tonight but they are factory crimped 38 spl's. They come out nice and I inspect them all. Others like 9mm 40's and 45 ACP I make sure the COL hasn't changed and so far so good.
I do tumble rifle too but make sure bullets and primers are as they should be.
I have vibrated a 223 bullet out once and a primer on an another occasion but I think that it was just as well they came loose.
I shouldn't have loaded those cases in the first place.

I just finished resizing and preping cases from my late July Prairie Dog hunt in South Dakota. I finally got the pile of cases off my reloading bench.

Hopefully, I'll get them reloaded for next summers adventure a bit sooner than a week before leaving for SD.

Every one will have their best way. You need to develop your own style/system, helps you make the best possible reloads to your expectations.
I lube, size, and wet tumble as well. Then use CC media and Nu Finish for 15 minutes after all other processing is done to "seal the tarnish out" before storing my processed brass. No need to tumble after assembly when doing it this way.

You may already know this, but you do not want to "tumble" ammunition that you have loaded with lubed lead bullets.

The media and the bullet lube create a nasty coating that is a PITA to clean-up.
