I had the high point in 9mm and mags were the only reason it wasn't awesome. Mine had a damaged extractor when i got it so not super reliable, but ok for range use. I cut down the forend a bit which made it less ugly, but i sold it. I also had an ar in 9mm that used some sort of modified machine gun mag, uzi i think, and the mag was HORRIBLE to load. I want another 9mm ar that takes glock mags...

This fixes it!

Seriously works great.

Yeah that would do it. I don't think they had those for 9mm mags back then though. This was a LONG time ago...

My current AR15 build I am working on uses a JoeBob Outfitters Spartan 9mm lower that uses Glock 9mm magazines. These are built by New Frontier Armory. I plan on using a 16" barrel with this build for max velocity. So far I only have the lower and a couple of mags...but it's a start!

I bought a hi point 995ts last week and I have put about 150 rounds through it so far. No problems and I have been very impressed with the accuracy and consistency it has. It is ugly and bulky though (but I'm actually getting used to the way it feels) and the 10 round mag is annoying. I've seen the ads for the new 20 rounds though, and hi point says they're good and and won't void your warranty.

I bought a CZ skorpion a few weeks ago, and it's accurate and a lot of fun to shoot. I highly recommend it. I'm getting rid of my sub2000 because I don't like the sights. The guy at my LGS told me Beretta discontinued the CX4.

I got a cz scorpion couple weeks ago....I have almost emptied my 9mm stash of reloads,,what a fun shooter..put a vortex sparc ar dot on it..even tho iron sights are great..dialed the red dot in at 25 made the target disappear went to 50 yards and it was dead on with no adjustment,,,,,need a 650 or 1050 to keep up!

I'm really lovin my home built AR9. For the cost to build you can't beat it. The only problem with it is it's an AR and I keep finding more stuff to put on it :).
In 10 minutes it's an AR15 if I want.

I have a Marlin Camp 9 and an AR that takes Glock mags. As a range gun I like the AR, but as a "real" gun I prefer the Marlin.

In the real world, if you have to carry a gun that handles like an AR and weighs the same as an AR then might as well carry one chambered in a rifle cartridge.

Well I can recommend any of these !!! I have this 3 and love them all ... depends on philosophy of use ... The Scorpion Evo carbine, the Kel-Tec sub 2000 Gen 2 or a AR 9 pistol pistol build ... e1aaa0a94bbb3fc2197cf8c4deb7e002.jpg f4532de4bf6ff758542c1210d92c8a2a.jpg f48fb6f433fd5bd834e26c204067b5d8.jpg

I second the CMMG MK9 and the CZ Evo. The plus side is both are easily SBRed if you want to submit an ATF form 1, then you might as well suppress it too!

I have a Gen 2 KelTec Sub 2000 that runs like a scalded cat with anything I feed it. I own several KelTecs including a PMR 30, P3AT, and a P11. I've not had a problem with any of them after breakin. I have no experience with the other options discussed here, but for my purposes - truck gun, personal anad home defense - the 2000 has been a good choice. I really like the fact that it folds to 16" and can be discreetly carried in a briefcase, day pack, messenger bag, etc.

Around here a Camp Carbine will cost you more than an AR9. My AR9 is pretty light and will probably hold up better.

With very little work I changed the totally forgettable plastic front sight on my 1st gen. K-T S-2K to an all metal AK type sight off a Hi-Point carbine. Made a world of difference and looks like it was original equipment.

That's cool, but my problem was the rear sight. I had a hard time getting my head low enough to line up the sights.

I also have a CMMG AR 9 but SBR'd and suppressed. Flawless shooter and the most fun gun I own!

Sour Kraut, mine is the factory SBR with a Liberty Mystic X. I agree, it's my most fun gun as well. Is yours an 8" barrel as well? What silencer are you using?

I had to add a half pound of lead to the buffer of mine to keep it from doing this:

Mine is factory as well with the 8" barrel. I have the AAC TiRant 9mm suppressor and for optics an Aimpoint Pro. It's been a great setup for me.

I've been tempted to do a Quarter Circle 10 build for a dedicated 9mm AR receiver and upper, but the CMMG just works so well - if it ain't broke...

Maybe I'll build a 45acp with QC10!

Beretta cx4 Storm is the sweetest 9mm carbine.
The CX4 Storm is a great carbine. Very easy to shoot, quite compact and very reliable.
I have to agree. I've had mine for eight or nine years now without any issues, totally reliable, accurate and fun to shoot. Mines a .40 and uses the same mags as my 90-Two.
My favorite is the cx4 but, if I am not mistaken, they stopped production some time back so they seem to be a bit harder to find. They are light, look great and use the same magazines as either the 92 or the px4. You can also buy adapters to use the other magazine if you are so inclined.
You're correct. They temporarily suspended production to fulfill a overseas contract. They've recently announced that they are starting production again on the CX4.
