9mm Fiocchi 92 gr Expansion Monoblock solid copper hollow point fired from Glock 22 with LWD 9mm conversion barrel through four layers of denim into calibrated 10% ballistic gelatin.

BB: 593.4 fps, 3.1"

Impact velocity: 1,439 fps
Penetration: 10.7"
Retained weight: 93.8 gr
Max expansion: 0.644"
Min expansion: 0.475"

If they had made this just slightly heavier, it could have met the minimum. Seems pretty decent otherwise. I wouldn't choose it, but I'm always interested in seeing innovative designs.

Thank you. Please note that ballistic gelatin is not intended to simulate the appearance of a wound, but to produce penetration, expansion, and retained weight measurements that correlate strongly with human tissue. Ballistic gelatin is less elastic than real tissue, though. It tears where tissue would not and that exaggerates the appearance of the "wound."

A 92gr bullet ''retained'' 93.8 grains? I'm thinking that it must have originally weighted more than 92grs, or it picked up something in the test, but obviously it can't ''retain'' more than it started as. Or am I missing something here?
