Looking to get an IWB holster for my newly acquired S&W M&P. I have two Milt Sparks for another S&W and my 1911. Lobo Gunleather was recommended, it's nearly half the price of Milt Sparks...I'm tempted. Anyone have experience with Lobo?

On the main S&W board, the founder of Lobo is a member and so is the party to whom he sold the company.

I have a pal there, a retired detective, who has known the founder for ages and has a number of his holsters. Pics on that board look good. Comments are all very positive.

Lobo is good stuff. I have the lined enhanced pancake and had them add the thumb-break for open carry. The strap for the thumb-break was clicking the safety off, so I trimmed the leather in that spot all the way back to the stitching and it hasn't done it since. Great holster and very comfortable.

My wife carries her Ruger sp101 in a Lobo Enhanced Pancake holster. Very nice holster and very well made. I highly recommend.

I have a Lobo Tom Threepersons for a S&W revolver. It's a great holster. I have had a few of their IWB holsters in the past for revolvers that I no longer own.

Lobo is a good holster maker, but my Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 is without a doubt my favorite holster for daily carry. I have one for every semi-auto pistol that I carry regularly.

You can't go wrong with either, but I personally would opt for the Milt Sparks. It's worth the cost and the wait (if it isn't stocked by one of their dealers).

Take a look at the offerings by A.E. Nelson Leather out of Scio, OR. Excellent quality at reasonable prices.

Jamie, I've got two of Lobo IWB holsters, both are quality products that work very well. I had them reverse the leather on mine. That way my revolvers are in contact with the smooth portion of the leather. This helps limit "holster ware."

Ive had Lobo holsters made by the original and new owners. I found the new ownership to be creating holsters at least on par for quality that Ray had done for me. I've also found them to be very easy to deal with, and the new owners beat their estimated delivery date by 2-3 weeks (IWB offset clip in horsehide for a Ruger SP101). I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
