From the webpage ... ( click to go there )

My usual shooting range. This place is tucked away in some beautiful rolling hills about 25 miles from my house. Most times I cut over the mountain through the woods on a semi paved road and if I see 5 other vehicles, it's a busy day. Often times, we have the place to ourselves.

Here's some pics I took today. Was shooting .270 Win - 25-06 - 40 S&W and 45 Colt.
The leaves have already peaked, in two weeks they'll be pretty much gone.

I finally got around to checking out your post. That looks like a beautiful facility, especially if you often have it to yourself.

I've never spent much time in Lycoming county. Mainly hang out further west, Elk and Cameron. Used to fish some in Potter when I was younger. God's country:)

Absolutely beautiful range. Wow! To get to shoot in that kind of Gods beauty makes me a bit jealous, lol!

Oh yeah Dog, It's all ice today. It's all white out there. Ice on snow.
Our stupid weatherman said we would wake up to 40 degrees, nice and warm, but it was an ice storm last night
and it's considerably warmer today at 26 degress right now.
I couldn't go there if I wanted today.
Last times I was there was Christmas and New Years Eve.
We had the whole place to ourselves. Happens fairly often during the week too.
I saw they had the new applications for 2017 in the box.
I filled my application and out of more than well over1000 they sell, $30. for individual and $40. for family,
I got NUMBER ONE!
So it isn't hard to remember my number this year.
My buddy is No. 2 :D
I'll tell other people I'll bet them that I'm the number one shooter at the range and win the bet every time.

Bullseye, Wow! Number #1 I like that. We are being pounded by a blizzard 3rd day. The Temps have been down around -17. All roads in and out of the valley are closed most days. When you live at 7,000' in the Rocky Mtns. you accept winter.:D
It is a great time to work on all those gun projects I have neglected.

Not enough oxygen for me where you are.
This is cold enough for me. Nevermind below 0 although it will be coming at the end of the month.
Today, this morning ....

They finally finished the Archabald range in Lackawanna County which goes up to a 200 yards. I use the Dyberry range in Wayne county and they keep that one clean and enjoyable to use. it's never crowded except for close to Deer season but I go during the week so it's never crowded.

I have visited Penn State many times during my working years. I have also seen it from 30,000' on my way to Ireland and Scotland. Beautiful country and many good outdoor folks.;) Thanks for the Pics Mike.:)

It is weird out today shoot straight 57. It is in the 50's and really foggy and raining steady.
I stopped burning wood, it's a good time when this rain stops to clean out the fireplace and check the smoke pipes for creosote and blockage.
At this range they have been pushing new rules. 5 shots from pistol in a row, three from rifle and you need to stop and look around. I don't mind and go along with it. I tell people who break that rule about it and tell them it's posted on the rules.
They are usually the same ones that make me nervous. If they give me a hard time, I tell the DCNR cop and give them a description of the car and number of the permit. LOL ... Now that I am NUMBER ONE maybe they'll think I am important. ( joking )
Most times, they say "oh I didn't know" and comply.
If it is just me and my buddy by ourselves, we bend the rules a little on occasion since there's nobody around for miles.
One goofball shot a hole in the roof being stupid. Gotta be aware of everything and everybody at the range!

There's one in every town. I have been on the range a few times where a person is done shooting and just get up and turn around with the rifle in their hands. I yell to them to keep the muzzle pointed downrange.
I use my hunting license as my permit to use the range They are good till June, then I buy the new license for hunting this year and I could use the range till next June.
Our range has a 10 round rule for pistol and a 3 rounds for rifle. My cousin and I are usually the only ones there during the week and if someone else shows up we watch each others back.
