taliv,
Unfortunately we don't have a test barrel for 260AI, but we have developed data for 260Rem, and will have loads for 6.5x55 and 6.5Creedmore. Hopefully, you can glean the info you need from that.
FYI, the latest update for Quickload has Reloder 16 data.
Best,
Paul

Paul,

So how will you post/publish new reloading data for 16 when it's ready?

Thanks for all your input.

NWcityguy2,
I am sorry to have to correct you, but Norma 202 is not the same as Reloder 12. Reloder 12 was designed and produced by Hercules Powder Company, and was produced only at the Kenvil Works in NJ until Alliant closed that facility and consolidated propellant production at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in 1996. A handful of lots of Reloder 12 were produced at Radford before we discontinued it in 1998.
Reloder 12 was never produced by Bofors, and we never produced it for Norma, so the two are not related. Are they close in burnspeed and utility; that is another question.

ntg,
Regarding new Reloder 16 load data, it will be incorporated to our online database very soon. We have a couple of additional cartridges to shoot, and continue to add loads to the cartridges we have already shot. We don't plan on publishing any more in the format we used for the launch.
Thanks,
Paul

Thanks for the input, Paul. Your participation here says a lot IMO.

ntg,
I am sorry to report that we still wait on PHMSA for shipping authority. I expect it any day, but they operate on their own schedule, so it will come when it comes.
Sorry for the delay.
Paul

I saw data for RL 16 in .260 rem and 6.5x55 on your site, are you still planning on publishing data for the 6.5 Creedmoor?

Paul,

No worries. I often deal with the gov't. I know how it can be. Just curious...that's all.

Thanks.

ntg,
We have finally received our DOT authority, so we will be packing and shipping the product shortly.
Thank you for your interest in our newest temp stable rifle powder. It should make it to the dealer shelves in the next few weeks, as it ships through our distribution.
Shoot well,
Paul

Compliments on 2000MR

BTW 2000MR has been fantastic in the 8x57mm from 150 grain to 185 grain bullets. Been working with it for a few years now.

Nope, I've been keeping an eye out but haven't seen any. I wish Alliant had some 6.5 Creedmoor load data for it, seems like it would be a good match.

Guys,
I can report that the Reloder 16 is packed and will begin shipping to our distributors this week. Sorry for the delays, but our plant had a maintenance shutdown for a week, and all the other priorities getting powders packed for this shoot or that customer made it difficult to squeeze this new product into the pack schedule. But that is history and you should begin seeing it at retail within the next couple of weeks.

RentaCop, thank you for the kind words on our Power Pro(TM) 2000MR. It is a great powder that we found a nice little niche for, and it is growing in popularity. Good luck with it.

Brazos_Jack, I expect it will charge similar to Reloder 17, as the granulation is closer to that than H4350.

Gtscotty, We have almost completed testing in 6.5Creedmore, and we have loads for Nosler 120grBT, Barnes 130grTSX, Sierra 140grGK and 142grMK, Speer 120 and 140grSpitzSP, Berger 130grHybridOTM and 140grHybridTarget, and Hornady 129 and 140grgrSST. We haven't updated the loads on our site yet, but I can PM it to you if you get some of the product before then.

Thanks for all of your interest in this new powder.
Shoot well,
Paul

Metering: Reloder 16/17 vs H4350?

"Brazos_Jack, I expect it will charge similar to Reloder 17, as the granulation is closer to that than H4350."

I'm not familiar with Reloder 17 either. How does it meter compared to H4350?

I thought we'd at least see it online, but I can't see it. Anyone find it?

This thread finally forced me to register, lol. Long time searcher, great site.
I scored 4lbs of this stuff at Greentop near Richmond Va, fwiw. Planning to try it with heavy bullets in a 308 with a generous freebore.
Paul, pass my kudos to your team for producing and get this powder out there. I really need a powder that is temp stable and a little faster than H4350. Hope this fits that much needed bill.
I know you had to use a standard throat, but are you allowed to post up gns you used and speed for the heavy bullets tried in a 308?
I've got a pretty good idea of where I will be but if I can save some of the test round components, all the better.
Thanks,
Jarrod

I noticed that Reloading Unlimited near Chattanooga, Tennessee has Reloader 16 in stock and for sale at $29.99 per pound. I thought about ordering some but decided to wait until it is available from my normal supplier.

Humm...it must be hitting the east of the states first. I've still not seen it.

Is Alliant Reloading still planning on publishing load data for the 6.5 Creedmoor to their site, hopefully to include RL16?

I've finally got some RL16 on the way. Powder Valley is where it's at online.
