btw: Hate to sound like a K9-sniffing moderator on the prowl for whatever, but, we're beginning to drift a tad from the subject, aren't we? How about those terrorist scumbags in both the homeland and the ISIS-held territories of the Middle East? ("Held" for now that is; payback's a you-know-what.)

p.s. Only kidding, mods -- please don't give me any demerits...all right?

p.s.s. Ok, I'll shut up (for now).

I see... kinda like skipping shale or other flattened stones off the surface of a pond and watching them bounce, bounce, bounce. Even though the water/asphalt is "softer", for lack of a better term, the projectile will glance upwards and hopefully hit the intended target. Am I right?

Yes, somewhat. Jeff White could probably give more real info, my experience was pretty much side effect of just shooting in a variety of conditions, not intentional as to skipping bullets. This was before people were as conscientious about shooting at water etc. It was interesting seeing the old black and white film about skipping bullets along a concrete wall when I saw it a while back on youtube. I was unable to find the same clip when I looked. They seemed to have it down to somewhat of a science, and were showing film of actually shooting at the wall and hitting balloons or targets or something at the end of the wall, all with varied locations of the hits on the wall. It seemed to stay at a fairly shallow angle after first hitting the wall, not, like someone said, the angles produced when hitting billiards/pool balls. Maybe like hitting the side rail from out in the table but with strong English on the ball to make it follow close to the rail.
