Bought it on a whim a few years ago cause it was cheap. Recently decided to wring it out and see how good it was or wasnt.

Made by Sporting Arms in the Phillipenes, and distributed by Amchar in Rochester NY.
Good fit and finish. Doesnt rattle, but not overly tight either.
So far so good. Have about 500 round downrange, different brands of 230 fmj plus some reloads
Not one hickup. No ftf or failure to eject.
Carries comfortably in a Fobus kydex paddle and mags are inexpensive.

Im impressed for a budget friendly, entry level 1911 Officers model.

I purchased one about 2 months ago . Love the pistol. cleaned it lubed it , took it out and shot it . runs great. only problem was the mag that came with it , ran fine with all my other mags. left the factory mag loaded for about a week. took it out and shot it some more, mag problem solved . I did buy a colt defender recoil spring assembly ,haven't had to use it but I like having a few replacement parts on hand for all my pistols . I find myself carrying my Titan more than all the others now. You don't have to spend $2000 for a good ,reliable ,accurate defensive handgun .

I'm right on the verge of buying a compact 1911 and I've been wanting the RIA version. I carry a full sized 1911 Rock now and this would be a natural transition. Thanks for posting that.

Hey doc. Does yours shoot low? I have the ATI full sized government model and shoots 2 inches low. It's very reliable but I have to compensate by covering my target with the front sight to hit it square, versus my Colt 1911 Combat Elite where it shoots at point of aim.

If you bought a production made Officer's ACP that runs 100% then you are a lucky man.

No, it shoots poa. Research and work the front post.

Is it an actual 3.5" officers size gun with a bushing?

3.5 inch but no bushing.

I agree, I am lucky, given the problems in the officer model world. I work p/t in a gun store as my retirement job and have seen problems, but mine and two of the other guys thst have them hav not had any problems.

It seems to me the problem is far less prevalent in true 3.5" officers size guns and far more prevalent when you get to the 3" guns. I've had several 3.5 to 4" guns that have all run like champs. I've had 2 3.5" Philippine manufactured guns that were 100% and I'd prolly still have one had I not run across a 1991a1 compact.

I bought one several years ago too. It had issues out of the gate and was beating itself to death. I bought the Colt Defender springs and Wolf main springs and it has been extremely reliable since then. I had to trim the main spring back to get it to lock open. It gets carried occassionaly now but I have a few guns more suited to concealed carry. It is surprisingly accurate and has no problems with hollow points. I also have the ATI Commander size and it has had zero issues since I bought it.

The barrel length is 3-1/8, not 3-1/2 on the Titan.
