In spite of all the NRA promises, his first intentions are to appoint Rudy Giuliani as attorney general, which also leaves Giuliani at the helm in the appointment of Scotus.

Please enlighten me how this is going to help 'our' cause?

Two of the saddest days in American and world history : 9-11 and 11-9 imho

Rudy Pro Gun?

Are you kidding? I lived in NYC when he was dictator. He was as anti as Bloomberg.

Fortunately the AG doesn't have much to say about gun control.

Our best supporter in the White House is Donald's oldest son. He's a big time gun guy

I hope gun owners aren't so busy patting ourselves on the back that we let our guard down. :(

This is not the time to go to condition white. We need to keep up the pressure.

This is the time to go the full court press and call them on everything.

+1. Rudi is not a friend to rights, he's a little despot who only wants things his way and is not open to discussion. Maybe that's what it took to clean up NYC in the 70's, but his time is over.

If Donald appoints him to some national office, we're all in trouble. He would take the secret court system and make the book 1984 look like a primer for removing civil rights.

Remember our President-Elect wrote The Art of the Deal.

Has anyone reading this thread read the book? Main question: "Does this book indicate that core values are not open for trades?"

If not the implication is that everything is subject to negotiation, trades, and so on.

I did. It's actually ghost-written and Trump-approved, rather than Trump-written. It was also a different iteration of a man who's had several.

I'd much rather see Trey Gowdy either stay in the house or become Attorney General. Someone like Mike Lee (or his brother who's first name escapes me at the moment) or Ted Cruz would be a better Supreme Court Justice. I don't want Gulliani or Christie anywhere they can affect decisions or enforcement of 2A related laws. Neither one of them are friends of RKBA.

OTOH, Christie would be a great Secretary of Agriculture considering how much food he's experienced. :D

This thread is sort of funny. We get the guy we want in office and its still gloom and doom.
I don`t get it. How about stop gnashing teeth and let the guy get his presidential house in order.

You guys are depressing !!!

I think the point is never let down your guard.

We've won one battle. Now is the time to seize the advantage and increase pressure on our reps, not relax.

When they do something against us, jump on it. Call them out.

They just can't help themselves. They are depressing me too. Only 30 hours since we found out HRC was toast and these guys are wetting their diapers.

Give you us a few more days of good feeling until you get back on the whine. Is that possible?

And tomorrow is Veterans Day. Let's reflect on that. I think Rudy is odious too. But he can wait to bash until next week. Is that OK?

Where in the world do you get the idea that the AG gets to appoint Supreme Court justices?

Trey Gowdy would be a good choice for anything, including POTUS someday. He is the best defender of the Republic and sharp as a tack.......he's a rock-star in my book

I think if Trey Gowdy became AG he would most definitely go after Hillary and most likely convict her. Why? Because by doing so he would convince the public that he had a legitimate case against her when he had his committees and that he wasn't just going after her during a partisan attack.
