Took a 120 lb doe this morning in Tidewater, VA.

110 yards, dead right there with a neck shot. 300 BLK shooting 110gr Barnes TAC-TX on top of H110. On 11/11 even!

Lots of one's today

Edit to add the picture. Can't get my phone to copy an image address.

Good job, we want pics if you have them.

Edited to add: nice pic, that's good meat. Looks like the rifle & caliber worked great! Well done!

Pretty cool that since you were suppressed, the deer didn't even need hearing protection. Good job!

Good work on filling the freezer!!! Where in Tidewater were you? I have a friend in Chesapeake who's looking to get out, but isn't sure about the available areas (he just moved a couple weeks ago).

Old school here.Pa senior hunter,Model 70 .243.98 lb doe,42 lbs venison. My wife makes it in the crockpot with a red wine sauce.I told her to triple the sauce.I put it on my mashed potatoes or noodles like gravy. Its a "Happy Meal".

I live in Chesapeake as well. Joined a hunt club when I moved here (Twin Oaks Hunt Club). There are some WMA's, but I always heard that you are more likely to get shot than shoot anything on them.

Took another one today. Glad I brought two rifles, because she was 200yds or so and the 300 BLK doesn't have a scope. Granted, 7mm Rem Mag is a bit overkill for these little east coast deer. Straight through the heart and out the opposite front leg.

Gonna have an impressive pile of backstrap and tenderloin for Thanksgiving.
