Favorite Handgun?

I didn't hesitate for a second. It's obviously my old model (three screw) Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 magnum. It has the best single-action trigger I have ever felt on any firearm. The 7.5" barrel and good sights make it look like I know what I'm doing. My Ruger single-actions are my favorite handguns, and this is my favorite Ruger.

Okay. I have 3 favorites:

A Colt Woodsman, made in 1938 that is so accurate it's scary. I've shot a truckload of squirrels with this gun.

A Kimber Custom Classic, which has been my carry gun for 20 years. Reliable, accurate, and with a superb trigger.

A Colt New Service in .45 Colt. This gun had been reblued, and buffed so aggressively that most of the markings are blurred. It had a 7 1/2" barrel, a front sight like a razor blade with a rear notch to match, and shot a foot high and 18 inches to the left. It shot nice groups, but nowhere near point of aim. I finally cut the barrel back to 5 1/2", mounted adjustable sights on it, and put on a set of Herrett Shooting Master grips.

Might as well ask me to pick a favorite kid...

Favorite revolver: my trusty 4-inch GP100, the best general-purpose wheelgun you can buy today.

Favorite 1911: my old Springfield Mil-Spec that's been carried a lot over the years.

Favorite non-1911 automatic: my HK P30 that fits me like the proverbial glove.

Definitely my custom witness compact in the big ten Mil shoots flat as all get out and there's no denying the power, even with broken frame rail piece at the slide stop from everyone I ever owned this one has been on a journey that the Italians who made it could of never dreamed of

my single six. a vary close second would be the S&W 1917 45acp that i let get away.

Hi...
Hard to choose a favorite, sorta like choosing a favorite child.
One that ranks right up there is my S&W 686 Silhouette Model.
Another is my SBH stainless in .45Colt
My Springfield Armory 1911 in .45ACP must be pretty high on the list...it has been my carry gun for thirty years

SR1911 5" 45. Just a trigger job and it shoots as accurately as my semi-customs at 1/3rd the cost. It's been totally reliable and accompanies me most of the time. I'm very pleased with the SR.

Tough question. This Freedom Arms Premier Grade .454 Casull with auxilary .45 ACP cylinder, that I've owned for upwards of 20 years, must be at least be one of my favorites since it is one of the last I'd want to let go of. Have to admit I haven't shot it in ages, but still enjoy it;-)View attachment 226537
I think I'm in love...

20161212_114343.jpg The sp101 with crimson trace grip 357 is the one i shoot the most and have owned the longest .
So i guess thats the one .
I have prettier and more expensive ones but...
Even my dog likes it! ;)

Favorite firearm of all time is a sentimental choice - a Ruger 6" Mark II stainless. Killed literally thousands of coons with it among other game, trained hundreds of new handgunners on it, fired tens of thousands of rounds with it, carried it hundreds of miles on my hip.

Second favorite, or rather favorite "working handgun," is the Ruger Super Redhawk Toklat in .454casull. Only way I'd like it more is if it were chambered in .475Linebaugh. The 5.5" slab side barrel might not have a style everyone loves, but it has by far the best balance of any DA revolver I've owned, especially considering its immense power. Pictured here on the left with one of my Alaskans.
