Is your interest in guns narrow or broad?

BROAD!!! If I had the budget, I would own one of every firearm ever made, in every chambering that it was ever manufactured in. Even the crappy ones. But like most people my budget doesn't allow for such foolishness.

At first just the basics a nice 357 mag, a shot gun, a 22, and a hunting rifle. Then figured I needed a 9mm, and a 223. Then figured I better have a couple in each caliber. Then I started getting into 10mm, 460 Rowland, and 35 Whelen, 44 mag, 357 sig, 308, 45-70, 7.62x39, 22 mag, 270, 300 win mag. It's easy to make up excuses to buy a new gun, and harder to make up excuses not to. The madness will stop when I die.

excuses is the right term! haha. when I decided to start reloading I started shooting more and had it all setup to sell a rifle I had 2 in the same cal and then said well I shoot more so need something to shoot while on cools. my best friend says you always find an excuse to buy reloading, gun or hunting stuff. I started whacking woodchucks in the summer and that was my excuse for buying a new scope, heavy barrel, bipod, etc. I have always wanted a s&w model 10 or similar but the cost of 38/357 being expensive for me I never got anything like that but now I reload I might have an excuse to buy one. :)

Since I like guns in general I would say broad. However, my preference definitely leans towards shotguns at the moment.

Very broad for me. Basically, if it has a trigger I'll have fun with it. Long range rifle to 22 pistol to ars to levers to large revolvers to shotguns I like them all.

I seem to have an attraction to Browning BARs, A-5s, 45 revolvers and matching winchester and marlin lever guns. I have some husquavarna rifles but am a firm believer that you should have spares in case of a breakdown in hunting season. Guns are just tools and everyone should have the tools they need to get the job done well.

Narrow, I suppose, only those practical for concealed carry. Now as far holsters ............ that's a little more than a broad interest; it's really a bad, out-of-control obsession.:(

I have a somewhat broad interest. I started with shotguns and revolvers, graduated to rifles for hunting. Later got into auto pistols. Stopped hunting everything but varmint now that I'm older. I enjoy the long shooting the most. I have gotten into trap, skeet and sporting clays recently.

About the only thing I have no interest in is old military rifles like Mausers and such. Partly from watching a friend that buys them. I won't even take him to the range with me anymore. He pulls out corroded, green ammo for those rifles and then wonders why it won't fire. He once turned around with the gun in his hands on the firing line because it didn't fire. That was the last time I ever went with him. My opinion is these guns would make good tomato stakes.

Even have one AR, partly because I wanted to get one before they could stop sales.

Mine has shifted around. When I was 18 I started buying rifles because that's what I could legally walk into a store and get. At 21 I bought a Glock 26 to carry and that's where the focus started shifting towards handguns. I'm 30 now.

I accumulated many rifles over time but about 3-4 years ago I trimmed them down to less than 20, put all of the profit towards new handguns.

Also, since I started handloading 9-ish years ago I gravitate towards bolt actions, lever actions and revolvers. Pretty much anything that doesn't launch ejected brass 89 feet away into the tallest patch of grass in the entire field.

I got my first handgun about 40 years ago and have only owned handguns and worked at improving my handgun skills since. I've never owned a rifle or shotgun....just never felt the need or desire. I enjoyed handguns too much.

Broad
Flintlock to ARs
Trap and sporting clays.
Hunting big game, small game, upland, migratory, Turkey
Handguns for hunting, home defense, personal defense, ccw.
Organized competition in Trap, sporting clays, muzzle loaders.

Pretty broad. I enjoy projectile dispensers of all varieties including firearms. What I shoot most has more to do with logistics than with my breadth of interest. If I had the money and time, I'd own and shoot every kind of firearm I could legally get my hands on.

Broad. As someone else said, flintlocks to ARs, handguns, rifles, shotguns, C&R & antique. Also includes pellet rifles/guns and a few airsoft.

Well lets see - I started out with hunting guns from about 9 yrs old, but by the time I was around 15 or 16 I had developed an interest in WW 2 German guns of all sorts. By the time I was 18-19 I had added full autos to the heard. At that point I had probably 15 or 20 different guns almost all WW 2 military.
It has been ALL down hill from there! I currently have "probably" 75 hand guns, 65+ rifles and 15+ full autos. And a couple of mortars just for Ss & Gs! Tried several times to buy an anti tank gun, but the deals never came to be.
What do I do with all of these? Simple they hang on the wall of my gun room, or reside in a large safe. I only shoot a few of them, mostly guns that are of mismatched numbers so have low collectability. My hunting rifles are old military rifles. My carry pistols are also old military.
Sarge

I would say over the years I have been pretty much focused on handguns and that hasn't changed much even today. Like when I'm on THR I first check in with General Gun Discussions, then it's Handguns: General Discussions, Handguns: Revolvers, and Handguns: Autoloaders. Primarily interested in handguns for everything: target shooting, range use, home defense, hunting, and concealed carry.

For me it is broad. I like most guns. From revolvers, semi auto' s to various type of rifles to shotguns. Though currently only own one shotgun. Lately I have been gravitating towards handguns, but still want a Henry rifle and a nice coach style shotgun.

Everything. If it sends a projectile downrange, or is a projectile (see: throwing knives), I am interested in it. I have few firearms, but I can classify each as something unique from the others.
