The thread on scout rifle scope placement was interesting, but I thought it would be nice to have forum members posts pictures of their favorite rifle/scope combination rather than discuss what they didn't like about other combinations.

Here is mine. Vintage Weaver K4 fixed 4 power scope on Winchester 100 Carbine. Top one is a 308 and the bottom is a 243. Great, fast little carbines with a really rugged basic no-nonsense scope. CraigC has given me some things to consider regarding nightvision stuff for coyote hunting, but for now this sort of set-up best suits my scope/rifle needs.

By the way, these are no longer mine. Similar set-up on my Ruger GSR, though. Pics of that later in the day.

You didn't say it had to have been mine at some point....:p

Of what I currently own (though my son has borrowed it for coyotes), I don't have a pic: My Savage Axis .223 with a Nikon Buckmasters II 3-9 I picked up in clearance for @$60. It's a placeholder until I can afford some better glass.
Here's pic of it with the previous scope, a Barska 4-12x56. I picked the Barska up for $12 at Sportsman's Guide many years ago. It's been on five of my guns, I gave it to my son when I bought the Nikon.

Note the 3 round group just under the forestock. 50 yds.

That looks really handy. What cartridge is it chambered for?
That was .35 remington.
Love that fat bullet. Deer hate it.
Think my next .35 rem a 760 pump.
Little Super 16 (16.25") bbl was just a little too short. Fore-end was modified with added weight to make it less "twitchy". Worked fantastic, shot great...........proly should have kept it.....but slung on shoulder, looking around, I could see the muzzle and that just irked me.
Plus Contenders being quirky at times.
The Ruger #1 is no worries. It shoots very well (surprise) and I really am not a fan of break opens on deer hunting.
Popped my buck with the #1, he ran in and I removed the empty and slid another in, without taking my eyes off the deer.
Last time I hunted a #1 was back before '95.
Didn't even have to think, was smooth as silk. Deer was dead, just didn't know it.
Still.............empty, new one in.......eyes not off the target............I can dig it.

Squirrels, yotes and deer (under 200 yds).............I think a 2-7X is probably ideal.
Love a 1-2X at the bottom end in the woods.
Shot a doe at 50 on the move, at 2X. Still hunting smoked a 130" 9 pt at 75........was at 3X. The scope now just sits on a shelf awaiting another rifle (maybe that 35 rem pump).
This yrs deer was at 50, fast trot, fixed 4X.

I like straight tubes on full stock rifles like the Leupold 1.5-5x on this Ruger .250.

Or the Leupold 1-4x on this CZ 452FS .22LR.

The 1.5-5x is also my favorite choice for a dangerous game rifle like this CZ .416Rigby.

For something a little longer legged, like this Ruger .270, a Leupold 2.5-8x (top). I've got another 1.5-5x that will probably go on the Ruger .338RCM at the bottom, if I don't find a short version of the 1.75-6x.

This is the best universal work horse I've ever used. It shoots under 2 MOA out to 400 yards, it holds zero even when I'm banging around the rocks and trees of the Montana mountains, and it can handle the rain, snow, and mud without malfunctioning.

This is my favorite long range shooter (until I get my new bolt gun)

Ill add some others but heres my Howa 6.5 Creedmoor with its gen1 prostaff 3-9x40, and new S&W stock.

Nothing special bout the combo, but it's nearly impossible to beat a 3-9x40 for general hunting, and with the rounds low recoil (specially in an 8.25lb package) and the BDC reticle its fun plinking with it at extended ranges.

My favorite hunting rifle ... a custom Kimber Talkeetna chambered in .375 H&H with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40mm RZ600 scope, Talley stainless QD rings, 1-1/4" Montana sling and a Beartooth comb raising kit (not shown). When I bought this rifle in November of 2012 I had no idea that it would end up looking like this or be such an incredible hunting rifle.

That is a really neat looking rifle.

Is the forward mounted scope a scout or pistol scope?

It's a 2x Burris pistol scope in low Burris Zee rings. The eye relief makes it need to be mounted about an inch forward compared to the similarly sized 2.75x Burris Scout scope. Those Zee rings are slim enough to allow the scope to be mounted fully forward on the short Ruger rail.

The scope is so close to the rail that scope caps won't fit on the ocular lens. I can wedge a scope bikini cover on it, kinda sorta.

By the way, not all pistol scopes can work well like this as the eye relief on most of them is much too long.

Edit: added details.

Here's my favorite bolt action "tactical" rifle/scope combination that I used to shoot a mule deer at 341 yards in 2015. The Accuracy International AW is shown with the original .308 Win barrel but currently has a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel attached (10 minute swap). The scope is the discontinued Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50mm F1, the suppressor shown is an AAC MK13-SD but I'm now using a Dead Air Armament SANDMAN-S on the 6.5 CM barrel. I have two other AI AWM rifles set up in a similar way but the AI AW is my favorite of the three since it's the most practical for general use. This rifle is a tack driver with either barrel.

Here's my favorite semi-auto "tactical" rifle/scope combination. It's a POF P308 with a MAGPUL PRS stock, Geissele DMR trigger, and Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50mm FFP scope in an ADM mount. I currently use it with an AAC 762-SDN-6 suppressor but will switch it over to a Dead Air Armament SANDMAN-L shortly. I just need to remove the 51T brake and replace it with a DA brake. This is one smooth-running and accurate AR308.

Here's my favorite lever action rifle/scope combination. It's a Marlin SBL Guide Gun 1895 (JM stamped) chambered in .45-70 Govt with a Leupold Mark 4 1.5-5x scope mounted in Warne QD rings. The cartridge holder is from Galco and the sling is a Montana Sling. I switched out the trigger to a Wild West version along with the magazine follower (stainless), ejector (bear proof), magazine spring (stainless) and firing pin which is a one-piece from LongHunter. I carry this rifle when hiking up here in bear country but I find the lever is annoying and too easy to open by mistake. I'd like to find a smaller lever loop version that is between the standard model and Wild West's big loop lever. DRC used to make a nice one but I may have to cut and weld the one currently on the rifle. This rifle will put five 300gr Barnes bullets into 3/4" at 100 yards.

Creative setup.

What power is the other scope on the receiver? Prefer the forward mounted or receiver mounted setup?

The other scope is an older 1.5-5x20 Simmons pro-diamond scope in the lowest Ruger #3 and #4 rings. The standard included rings are #4 and #5.

It's hard to say which set up is my favorite.

The 2x scope is nice as it acts as iron sights with the way the reticle appears to float out there on the barrel. Yet, it's in focus, where I can't focus on iron sights much anymore. Seeing all the way around the gun is easier with that set up.

The 1.5-5x receiver scope has a massive view through the scope at low power and of course the 5x is better to see smaller targets as wanted. The receiver mounted scope brings the balance of the gun back to the middle of the gun.

I can run the bolt quicker without the scope over the receiver because I'm more likely to knock my thumb on the scope bell of a receiver mounted scope.

I could call the scout scope set up an easier to shoot close range gun and the receiver mounted scope an easier to shoot medium range gun.

That's the versatility of a gun like the GSR, IMO. Change it as one wants year to year or season to season. Two guns in one. :)
