I just now won a GB bid on one for $250 barely used. It seemed like a good price to me. It's polymer.

Has anyone else owned or shot one? Did you like it?

Does anyone know if it takes the same magazine as the steel one?

The mags are the same on all large frame guns regardless of whether it's polymer or steel. However, there are full size and compact sizes depending on the length of the grip. You can run a full size mag in a compact frame, but not the other way around.

Thank you. I will order me a spare mag as soon as the pistol gets here. :)

I have a Witness P Carry in 45. It uses the same magazines as the full size steel guns. Mec Gar mags with black follower do not fall free from the polymer frame, but the Tanfoglio mags with red follower do. The Mec Gar mags are slightly thicker than the Tanfoglio mags. They can be inserted and removed just fine, they just won't fall free. They do fall free from steel guns. I bought a Limited Pro in 45 last year and it came with a Mec Gar mag. The extra mag I bought from EAA for it was also a Mec Gar mag. I think Tanfoglio has stopped making their own mags and now uses Mec Gar as OEM. Mec Gar mags are higher quality than Tanfoglio's so it makes sense to just have Mec Gar supply them with mags. Mec Gar and Tanfoglio are both based in the same city in Italy.

My P Carry's leade is very short and Hornady XTPs seated to Hornady's OAL do not pass the plunk test. Check JHP ammo in your pistol's barrel first to make sure they will chamber without engaging the rifling. It chambers ball ammo just fine though. A JHP with little or none of the bullet's shank outside of the case will be your best bet.
