There are plenty of the Remington models sold with a barrel bracket, correct part name is the Magazine Extension Bracket, that does not have a QD stud for the front sling sling point. Why would they do that? Because the Bracket with the QD stud cost $37 and the one without it cost $24. So, are you going to buy another bracket for $37 and have no use for the one you have. Heck no, I would not. Remington does not offer a kit for this but they sell the three parts. Problem is knowing which ones to get. Forget calling Remington and have the cubical clown that answers the phone send the right three parts. Your changes of that are 50/50 at best. But if you know the parts there is a better chance they won't screw up your order.

So being a Remington Master Gun Shop and knowing thins stuff, I felt obligated to put the info out for you guys. You will find These are the exact same Remington parts installed on the barrel brackets that come with QD Stud These are not after market parts. It is a simple install with no tools required.

F104115 QD stud, F94779 Spacer, F94766 Retainer, Also if you are smart and look around you will find the kit put together for you for a little cheaper then then buying all three parts from Remington.

Correct Kudu. The actual part name is - Magazine Extension Bracket. I added that for those like you who know the part names. In dealing with customers I hear this called the barrel bracket so often I use that for the post. It gets very confusing talking with people. One guy e-mailed and wanted a slide for the 870. I tell him the price and he sends payment and I send him the part. Later I get an e-mail from him that I sent him the wrong part as he wanted, his words, the part the pump handle goes on. The slide was $17 and the Forend tube assembly he wanted was $40. To prevent him from thinking I was cheating him asking for more money I gave him the part numbers and the price and the telephone number for Remington. He must have checked it out as the sent the slide back and money for the right part.

I get terms all the time that don't apply to Remington Shotguns and have to just figure out what the person is asking for. If uncertain I simply contact them and don't ship until they contact me back with clarification. It is refreshing when someone calls and asked for the right parts. However, I am a "Auto Mechanics Nightmare" as I am clueless to about anything auto. I am sure there are multiple post on Car Forums about some idiot (me) coming in and describing an issue he was having with his truck :).

Don't feel bad JD, trucks and cars today are not supposed to be fixed by the consumers. Only the dealer has the necessary software. They're only built for one purpose - to sell. Completely different from what you are providing to people. I really like your website. No B.S. there at all. Just the facts.

Actually, I have found quite a few helpful videos on YouTube relative to car repairs, but the gun videos are far too cluttered with folks who have a camera and a gun and very little else but ego. More people with the gun smarts of AI&P would be a welcome change.
