Sportsman's quide has the 36gr copper plated Federal 525 bulk pack ammo in stock, at least for a little while. $29.99/525, 5% less for "members".

If you are a "member" its under the six cents per round with a free shipping coupon code (SH1210).

The last I got pre Sandy Hook was like $180/5000 rounds so the price is up about 50% from then. But this is by far my favorite bulk pack -- its what my Spike's Tactical .22lr upper was tested with at the factory (according to the Spike's web site when I ordered it) and runs really well in it and my conversion kit.

Happy to get some more at a decent price, haven't seen any of this below 8 cents per round in a long time.

I still think there is room for .22lr bulk pack to get below five cents per round based on my "historical" observation that since about 2002 the cheapest bulk pack .22lr would generally run about 1/4th the price per round of the cheapest 9mm FMJ.

Got my confirmation for 3000 rounds, so good luck y'all!

Fella's;

As far as I'm concerned, .22 rimfire ammo is no longer a crisis issue in my part of Montana. I can now walk into a couple of stores in town & be reasonably assured of there being some kind of .22 rimfire on the shelf. With that being said however, the chances of it being exactly what I'd prefer to buy is still pretty low, say 25%. I will note that this is a major improvement from a couple of years ago. I'm hoping that this trend will continue, particularly since the political climate towards firearms, and related things like ammo, looks to change.

Looks out of stock

Not totally surprised, I had signed up for a "Notify Me" Email on this shortly after Sandy Hook and I got it just as I got home from the range and finished cleaning up for lunch. About a week ago I'd got an Email saying my second choice, CCI Blazer, that I also I had a "Notify Me" on, would no longer be available, so I figured it'd be the same for this, pleasant surprise, glad I wasted no time reading the Email!

Around here its not been too hard to find the bulk pack for about six cents per round, but its usually my least preferred, Remington Thunderbolt or Golden Bullet, and the quantity limits seem mostly gone so I'm more willing to stop at the stores when I'm driving by. Still not a reliable enough supply to drive to the store specifically to buy 2-4000 rounds like I used to do pre Sandy Hook.

Let's hope the improvement continues!

In North Texas suburbs around Dallas pretty much everyone has .22LR. Prices seem to range from between 5 and 10 cents per round with most prices in the 6 to 8 cent range depending on manufacturer, bullet weight and whether you want the bullet to be copper color of just plain lead.

Wow. Using the Internet to order .22LR.

You might want to tell those (other) people starting topic threads here, who can't ever "find .22".
They are totally unaware of them things called 'search engines', or fear the govt's beady eyes compiling a retail list of the purchases.

Price has to be very good for me to order 22LR online (or I'm desperate ;)). But, I do order target grade 22LR ammo occasionally online. I pick most of that up in person at a store in Nashville when I pass through.

I can find it all over the NW Ohio area. Even the places it's almost never at have it, even though they want about 2X as much as it should be,

Well, if it's Rem. "ThunderScheisse", you can have my share. Lower prices still have no appeal, even if the ammo is free.

On the other hand, brands (.i.e blue box Federal) which are not so cheap work well in the old 1940's Savage and the Romanian M69 Trainers.
Wearing safety glasses doesn't help much with approx. every third ThunderScheisse round puffing gas. Enjoy.

I have generally had very good reliable results with Federal Lightning. It is my go to promotional grade plinking ammo. I keep some thunderturds around for testing purposes on mostly rifles. I like to see how they group.

i will never go back to buying locally.
the drought taught me that i can have a case delivered to my door.
cases are very heavy.

Pablo J;

What's the objection?
If you are referring to Remington Thunderbolts and the Peters version, traditionally they are dirty, subject to misfires, experience low powered squibs more often than any other 22 ammo I have tried. Is that enough?

If it is about NOT discussing pricing and availability of 22LR, I doubt that is going to happen.

susieqz:
Beware: big brother is carefully recording how much ammo you buy. Their computers tell them what your computer orders. Not a doubt in my mine. The only way to avoid this scary sir-valance program is to buy overpriced ammo at gun shows in person, or prices demanded on Armslist.

A pair-ently one of the highest jobs of the Feds is watching online sales and shipping, but not what is recorded in the cash register at Walmart. That is why many nervous people burn up A-rab gasoline to cruise Walmarts,
like Camaros around Sonic tater tots on Friday night.

In my area of SC there's no shortage of .22's. However, I doubt if we will ever see the good ole days of pricing.

ig, i bet the govt tracks lots of what i do, including what i post here.
just because i'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

Fella's;

I'm with susie, can you prove that everyone who visits a site & reads your posts is no threat whatsoever? Didn't think so.
