I was recently gifted an older Benjamin 2600 bb gun. While it is in respectable condition, it seems to be missing a couple of parts where the CO2 cartridge goes. I have an old parts list, but am unsure where to get the parts. I am a complete noob to air guns and have no idea if this gun is even worth repairing. I plan on using it for a little "trigger time" in the garage, and for my granddaughter's first experience shooting handguns. Any information or opinions you experts can give me would be much appreciated.

If I owned it, I'd repair it. They bring anywhere from $100-up on auction sites. They use the smaller 8 gram CO2 carts.

HERE is a list of places that repair airguns compiled by Tom Gaylord.

You know, i get you could use some of the PGPs parts in that gun. Id have to have both apart and side by side to know.

Good info. Thanks for that. I will keep the gun and get the parts to get it up and running. The gun appears to be complete with the exception of the cylinder area. There is a steel spacer, no spring, a defective rubber O ring and a 1/2" common steel nut where the gas cylinder should be. Not sure what is going on there, but I will contact someone on that list to see what they can tell me.

It almost sounds like someone attempted to set it up to use something other than co2. But in any event it's worth sorting out and I'm glad to hear you are going in that direction.
