About 10 years ago I bought my brother a 16" .357 Puma levergun. I liked it so much I wanted to get one for myself, but it looks like they no longer exist. I assume Rossi took over production, but I don't see the .357 on their website or Gunbroker. Did they just give up on those rifles? They were really handy!

Puma was the brand name for the version sold by Legacy Sports. They used the Puma name for Rossi 1892s and more recently Chiappa-built 1892s.

They are now called Rossi R92. Got two...both stainless, with 16-1/2" barrels, one is a 357 magnum, the other is a 44 magnum. I made two modifications: replaced the rear sights with a Skinner barrel mount rear sight on both, and added leather lever wraps, one shade for the 357, a darker one for the 44 so I can tell which is which at a glance.

They are still out there, a good dealer can locate one.

I bought a 16 inch barreled .357 rossi 4 years ago brand new. The gun shop ordered it for me. I love it. It is like an oversized pistol.
