I stumbled across a pistol to carbine chassis to replace the Hera Triarii I'd been using for my Glock 21. My primary motivation was the inability to run the Glock suppressed with the Hera. Enter the Roni from Arms Unlimited. This one is a carefully thought out chassis for Glock and other handguns. Everything just fit perfectly, the finished carbine is more fun than a barrel full of monkeys :)

Here she is with an Octane 45 onboard, $400 worth of tax stamps, lol.

I wasn't going to mention anything but Jackal did it for me. :)

Nice setup though! I was looking at the new micro-RONI they have out that is similar.

Geez, rough crowd here, lol. That glass is all I had laying around.

What would you suggest for a optic Jackal, I'm not up on red dots.

Thanks.
I'm just giving you crap. Under $100, Bushnell TRS-25. Sub $200 Holosun is the best. $300-$400 range, Mepro Tru-Dot. $400 range Trijicon MRO. $500+ Aimpoint.

I would also suggest looking at Vortex optics, they have a no BS lifetime warranty and are reasonably priced. Been getting good reviews too.

Yep. The Sparc AR has been really well received. Roughly the same size of an Aimpoint micro, almost identical to the popular and proven Sparc II. Same great warranty. Vortex optics are quality and nobody can deny that their CS is great and warranty is superb. IMO, you can't beat that for $199.

On the other hand, though, sometimes it's worth paying more. For instance, if my life depended on a particular firearm, I personally would be looking to Aimpoint pretty exclusively. Nothing against Vortex as I respect their values as a company, and I think they have a great business model. I've had a good experience with their products that I've tried. For those reasons, I'm happy to recommend them - again, depending on the purpose.

Not a big Glock fan but that is pretty damned cool! If that's what I have to do to have a compact .45 carbine/SBR, so be it. :)

I agree, Aimpoint all the way for a primary weapon system. But for those of us who have a dozen or more setups it can get expensive to put an Aimpoint on every one so I've been looking at the Vortex to fill roles in some more 'range toy' setups.
