Quite the rarity, in fact its the only one I have ever seen for sale over here.

The Champion is based on the P88c and has possibly the best trigger I've come across on a factory gun, or even most customs.

This one has two top ends, with the shorter being a compensated version.

I came across this one for sale back home while I was overseas last year and I had to make a few international calls to secure it. I finally picked it up last week.

Upon inspection its done very little work, in fact I'd say it would be lucky to have shot a few hundred rounds and has spent most of its time sitting in a safe.

Very, very nice! How rare is it and what sort of shooting competition was it designed and built for?

Thanks guys :)

I can't say for sure what shooting discipline Walther may have been targeting, I'd assume they just set out to build a premium range gun. The trigger is quite phenomenal for a production gun, even compared to my Sig P210, Sig X5 and several over similar high end target guns.
I really don't know how many were made, its certainly hard to come across one, even in the USA from what i can tell.

It is. I don't know why, its a little strange but should be easy enough to replace. I think I've found the right one.

I'll be sure to do a range report and comparison. I've a few other similar handguns and I'm keen to see how they compare.
