.32 is my favorite caliber. It's easy to shoot, lite recoil, and accurate. And effective for defense with the right ammo.

How about let's see some pictures of your .32 Caliber handguns.

32 ACP, 32 S&W, 32 Long, 32 H&R, and 327 Federal -- and any others I forgot.

Here is a picture of my first .32 -- a S&W 31-1 with Buffalo Bore carry ammo.

Stu1 at about the 5 o'clock position what is that gun and did you have the matt finish put on it?

I have several 32s. I need to get a picture and post it. I really enjoy shooting my 32 caliber guns.

OK, let's start with the KelTec P-32 in 32ACP and work around. Next is a S&W 1903 Hand Ejector 5th Change dated 1912 in NIckel, previous owner was a bootlegger in the North Carolina hills. Then Ratshooters question, that is a Pre model 30 dating 1954 and that is the original finish. Above that is a 1903 Hand Ejector 3rd Model from 1924. Next is a 16-4 and then a 431PD in 32H&R Mag and finally a 30-1 snub from 1971. I was testing some loads for the 30-1 and Pre 30 this morning.

Many thanks for the family history. I had several older 3" barrel Model 36s that had that same matte blued finish as your Pre-Model 30. Like the 1903 Hand Ejector 3rd. Model and the Model 30-1 snubby.

Here are the 32 handguns I own. S&W models 30-1 with 2" and 3" barrels. Model 31-1 with 4" barrel and PD 431 32 mag. Second picture two Ruger Single Six 32 mags, S&W model 631 32 mag and Walther/Manhurin PP 32 ACP made in 1957. The same year I was made. And trust me, the gun is in much better shape. sorry for the crummy pics. Its raining outside and I don't have good indoor lighting for photos. Not shown is my Marlin 32 mag lever gun.

Then Ratshooters question, that is a Pre model 30 dating 1954 and that is the original finish.

Thanks Stu1. That gun looks like a shrunk down version of the 44 Special Harrison Ford carried in "Raiders Of The Lost Ark". I like it.

DSCF1478.JPG A couple older Colts. Both are 32 D.A. On left is 1907 New Pocket/Pocket Positive. On right is 1910 Police Positive with smooth walnut stocks. The smooth walnut were a listed option at Colt but I haven't been able to verify these as Colt. Both guns are mechanically perfect and finish is nice, stocks have no chips or cracks. Both are chambered for 32 Colt, Long & Short; finding ammo can be a problem.View attachment 231019

I have a weird fascination with the .32. I'll try and get some pictures. But at least a list for now.

3 Walther PP's
3 Walther PPK's
1 Seecamp
1 NAA Guardian
1 Colt 1903
Had a Manhurin PP but gave it to a friend.

Here's a wheel of Walthers. A .22 PPK/S snuck in.

Seriously? I didn't realize I had that many until I listed them.

I'm almost there, but I can't quite get over the hump. I've been thinking about a Keltec P32, but the alternative of an LCP is holding me back.

.327 mag is pretty cool, except for the price and availability of revolvers and ammo.

And then the evil gunshop had a $400-something Manurhin PP a few weeks back. It's tough, let me tell you.

No pics yet of my rather mundane pair, a Kel-Tec P32 which is made a lot better by the addition of a 10-round magazine, and a 1972-vintage CZ-70 (okay, yeah, it's actually in 7.65mm Browning, which sounds way cooler, right?)

Then there are "old ones". IIRC, all of these are from 1915-1916.

Here is a Colt 1903 in 32acp. It was refinished, ruining its collector value, so I got it inexpensively. It's a joy to shoot.

Here is a Mauser Model 1914 in 32acp. It has a German government acceptance marking. It was in a pawn shop and they really didn't even know what it was. I replaced the springs and it shoots just fine. Field stripping it is a pain in the rear.

Here is an old S&W hand ejector in 32 S&W long. Like the other two, it is a good shooter (despite the tiny sights). I got it for next to nothing, since the finish is in poor shape and no one seems to really want the old 32 revolvers anymore.

I have a very old 7.63mm Mauser C96 with a century old barrel shot out leaving what appears to be a swirl of polygonal rifling. In keeping with the mountain tradition of using larger balls as your rifle wears and erodes out, I load it with .312" JHP bullets intended for .32 mag revolvers. Would that qualify for the .32 caliber club? :) Or is the club limited to original calibers? :(
