Time once again to buy some more bullets to load and was looking at these

http://www.evergladesammo.com/bullets/handgun-bullets/9mm-124gr-jhp-rn-v2.html

Hows the quality on everglades brand "or whoever makes them" vs say Zero. I was going to get a couple thousand. Scorpion evo sbr is gun of choice and mine shoots everything in all weights except it does Not like cone style fp or hp bullets.

I usually get xtreme or rmr plated non expanding target hp, or rn but prices aren't much more for fmj hps.

Might consider 147 grains as well since thats all anyone has in stock on zeros atm if y'all tell me to stay away from the everglades

I shoot everglades in 357 and 40 cal. They are jacketed and not plated. Never had any problems. Just got into 357 sig (9mm) and intend to order 147 grn from Everglades when in stock.

I'm usually a heavier end bullet guy "i.e 147gr" but the only on hand I have is 5lbs of CFE pistol and it seems to like driving 124's better than 147's unless the 147's are loaded really hot "was testing 147 RN and RNFP" Plated

Dunno, I could check them against each other if I had some of these. I'll eyeball them against the pic when I get home.

No, the ones that are made by zero are the 12(5) grain version they have on there. But they want $130 per 1000 vs zeros distributer "roze" that charges $110~

I usually get round nose fmj in 124 gr. If I go hollow point i get the competition style. A few bucks more. My range frowns upon hollows on the steel plates.

I wonder why, the RN should be harder on the plates.

Thats weird usally the hollows dump all their energy on steel as they pancake where the round nose sometimes bounce back a bit , atleast in my exp.

I think they get some of their bullets from Montana Gold.

okay, I heard they were zero bullets, but that's interesting. I guess I'll have to shoot some into some various media and check out their expansion characteristics.

I got Everglades projectiles for my first bit of .380 reloading. They've been great so far and have fast shipping.

I can compare them side by side in the photos from the web sites ... but I would like to see both in the same photo... The TJ Converia 124gr hp verses the Everglade in this link ... does anybody have both to compare ?? They look very close in the photos ...

They do don't they. I wonder where those come from.

Some companies sell Zero and Montana Gold without saying who makes them..

Just got them today, haven't had a chance to load them though it was wayyyy too windy today so I figured I'd start fresh with test loads in the mornin'..

I was thinking maybe 4.7-5.5 grains with these? they are .583 long

what powder? I was going to try mine with HP38

CFE Pistol is what I was planning on. I got a full 5 1lb jars of CFE Pistol , maybe 1/2 lb of HS-6 and a tiny bit of n320 "need to make a powdervalley order soon :-\"

you'll have to let us know how that works out. CFE Pistol or HS6 are two that I've been meaning to try (working through jugs of HP38 and TG right now)

My range says the hollow points cause splatter and ricocheting that is a danger to me and others.

I had a chance to fire some test loads using HS6 and TiteGroup over my MagnetoSpeed V3 yesterday. The published load on the HS6 bottle for the 124gr Gold Dot is fairly spicy (6.8 gr at 1.100 COAL). So I loaded 10 of those, and 10 at 6.6gr, and 10 with 4.5gr of TiteGroup. Pistols were a 4" XD Service model and a new XD Mod 2 Tactical 5". They all shot well, I was surprised to see 1300 fps from the 5"
